Absolutely Nintendo is overcharging...lmao. I'm not a fanboy for Nintendo...I'm PC first and foremost. The price of the console is fine but the price on the games is insane...I've said this already

Yeah, I think that is pretty much what made me go from cautious to wanting one again.

I have plenty of cash anyways. Each month I have a surplus of around 300 USDs worth of Swedish Krona, and that was BEFORE the raise.

Only reason I am not preordering is because there is no MSRP here. And stores are undercutting eachother. I will save money by buying the Switch 2 on release, rather than preordering.

Apparently Street Fighter 6 is on a Game-Key. Super Lame.

So I haven't read up, but are some games digital yet still require a requisite game key, therefore negating the point of buying digital? I prefer hard copies overall, but will buy digital when convenient.

Those Game-Key cards do have some benefits. You can sell, trade, and lend them. Better then a code in a box or a digital purchase directly from a store front.

There are a few current Switch games that are basically like this. For example, the Bioshock Collection isn't really on the card. It just lets you download the game. But to your point, you can still sell the game and the next person can still download the title. As long as its in the system, it will play.

@SolidGame_basic: Kinda get that, but not sure how it benefits over an actual card with the game... Maybe on price. Then there's the e-waste.

As I said in another thread, I can wait until the Switch 2's price is down as I do not play as many games per year. Also, I am not as excited for new home consoles as when I was younger.

Watched some of the Nintendo Treehouse and Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Metroid Prime 4 all looked fantastic.

The Treehouse Live chatroom on Twitch was crazy. I didn't see the YouTube chatroom though.

Pre-orders for the Switch 2 in the United States will be delayed indefinitely while Nintendo reevaluates impact of Trump tariffs. At 54% on Chinese imports a Switch 2 could cost just under $700 with its base MSRP being $450. The June release date is still on.

Watching the Treehouse on YouTube right now and the chat is an absolute mess. Surprised they left it open to be honest. Feel bad for the streamers since they have no control over this and the games look fantastic. What should be a great time all around is just a ****show now.

Already pre-order my Switch 2 at GameStop and it's the Bundle as its the better value for the money and I hope everyone where who pre-orders to just get the Bundle and be done with it. Mario Kart World is $50 cheaper than paying it for by itself, so really, you are getting a better deal with the Bundle you won't find anywhere else. Not to mention, I'll be trading in my launch Switch just to sweeten the deal as I don't need it anymore since Switch 2 is BC.

@Archangel3371@GameboyTroy I didn't bother watching Nintendo Treehouse as I got everything from the reveal and didn't need to see more. But man, I've heard everyone in the chat was really upset telling Nintendo to lower the price. Look, no one's not happy about this inflation at all. But telling that in the chatroom isn't going to make it any better and don't take it out on the people who's just live streaming. Not like they have the power and I doubt Nintendo cares what the chat say as they don't have a saying. Wanna get Nintendo's attention, just don't buy Switch 2. Vote with your wallet and we'll see how Nintendo pays attention to that. Seeing the chat going crazy was the last thing on anyone's mind.

Sadly in the US, the pre-orders are on-hold until Nintendo can get the whole Tariffs situated:

GameStop in my areas have already did their pre-orders so I'm technically locked in for my next-gen bundle. 'm just speculating, I think Switch 2 itself could get a delay.

If they were going to delay it, I can't see them only delaying it in the US (even though that is fair). They'd most likely delay it worldwide.

But according to the statement Nintendo put out today about the tariffs, the release date is unchanged.

Nintendo already said it's still releasing the same day, just preorders are delayed.

Hopefully the greed of Nintendont puts them in the ground.. fingers crossed.

@hrt_rulz01: Sorry if I didn't explain it more. I was referring to the US delays only. Everyone else is good for June 2024. I'm only suspecting a delay just the US only.

Edit: Just saw Chutebox saying the release is still happening. Just the pre-orders are going to be delay.

@davillain: People are upset now and want to voice their opinion now so I totally understand why this is happening. I just hope Nintendo doesn’t just drop the price of the system though. It’s the $80 games that I have the problem with. System price is fine in my opinion.

I was thinking to myself that those Switch 2 Editions of those games might just be the Switch 1 version with a download for the update. I would have actually bought those games again if they were the full on Switch 2 games on the card. Certainly not now. ****off Nintendo.

Curious as to how much they're going to charge for these upgrades.

@SolidGame_basic: That seems deceptive on some level. They are selling it as a Switch 2 physical version, but if you lend the game card then they can't use the Switch 2 version, and have to pay for the update.

Maybe they should include a separate Game Key Card of the update, and you can at least put that in to download and enable the update for when you lend it.

But really, why not just put the Switch 2 version on the game card? That's what the person wants to buy when they get that. It's lazy and greedy.

The Switch 2 pre-orders sold out in minutes after pre-orders started in the UK.

Part of me hopes we get another 3DS situation. Where Nintendo changed their tune after being too greedy. But I doubt we will see that.

System seems nice, game library and hardware seems like a logical next step and upgrade over what was offered on Switch; unlike the Switch 1 launch where it felt like it was just a haphazard rebranding of the Wii U.

Nobody that cares about gaming wants Nintendo buried, not even the most rabid, violent fanboy from days gone by, when competition was fierce. I think they're going to suffer financially, i'm convinced this console is going to be an Xbox one tier of failure (Not WiiU level). They'll suffer, but it won't bury the company, not even Sega went under after the Dreamcast failed to take off.

Sure... The Japanese Market is going to carry this, and some Japanese players are willing to double dip to get Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrated for the Switch 2, due to the portable nature. This console is getting all the 3rd party support, along with True console exclusives

Nice to see some of those games getting updated for Switch 2 at least. I have:

- Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

So will definitely be checking those out on the Switch 2.

Still want to get Echoes of Wisdom at some point.
