The Pro will just fine. The sun will still rise and Walking Dead will still air on Sundays.

PS Pro will be just fine. Anyone who says otherwise doesnt understand how the market and economics work in the video game industry. Yes Scorpio will benefit from power and it will sell off of that and fans of xbox. However, with those rumored specs, it will easily cost $700, $600 being a miracle. The general public cares more about being able to play multiplats at a decent enough performance at a great price instead of emptying their bank accounts again. PS Pro could get a price drop to $350 by Scorpio launch yet still play lower quality but good enough multiplats, have outstanding exclusives like last of us 2, god of war, and countless others unavaiable anywhere, have the most inexpensive VR entry point, and it benefits from the PS4s massive market share dominance. Scorpio will sell but it will be more niche than PS Pro due to its price tag and Playstations current popularity. Scorpio will not outsell PS Pro. Also their is already early evidence of PS Pro being preordered in high numbers on amazon. Dont forget the importance of Price and the ability to play all multiplats at scorpio even at lower quality

It's gonna come out in like 18 months and obviously, by that time, its parts are gonna be cheaper ...yeah if it was to get released now you could say it would've had a 600-700 price tag but by then, it'll be like 500-600$ and i guess they'd go with 550$ or even 500$

Earlier today, we reported that some developers may be charged for updates to their games to support the PS4 Pro– however, even if a developer does have to pay for a patch or an update, customers absolutely will not have to. Jacksinthe from AbsintheGames revealed on NeoGAF that any fee for a PS4 Pro update will have to be swallowed by developers and publishers- it absolutely cannot be passed onto customers.

“We are not allowed to charge you for patches or Pro feature updates,” he said. “The “fees” include anything we have to swallow to update our past games for you. The internet can calm down. There is nothing we can do to leverage Pro features or patches with price. Nothing.”

Which… sounds about right, honestly. After all, even regular patches are charged for by Sony (and Microsoft, and Nintendo), but developers never charge customers for them. Any outrage you may have over this needs to be dispelled, and saved for later, when something actually meriting it happens. This is basically the norm for how patches and updates work on consoles.

Yep, its already selling well and I can't wait to get mine in November. A lot of people are selling off their old PS4s. Just check out Ebay. The thirst for better performance is real.

DF says you can't appreciate it unless you actually get one. So they better start putting them demos on stores. Side by side comparison.

Poor PS4 Slim. No one gives a crap about that model. Why did they even release a Slim if the Pro came out like a month after. They could've waited so the Pro includes a 4K drive so it could be considered a real 4K machine like the Xbox One S. But nope, for some reason they're blowing their load and cashing out before the year ended. Man Sony fudging up big time!

The console is too under powered for native 4K.

My GTX 1070 is more powerful than this and the scorpio and at 4K I cannot run games at ULTRA... Medium-high settings in order to achieve 60FPS and the more easy to run games are no problem at all.

We are going to see a lot of 1440p 30FPS upscaled games with these consoles.

No buy from me thank you. PC a;ready beats them and they aren't even out.

@mjorh: There is no way on gods green earth that the scorpio will be $500. PS Pro is 2x power of ps4 and they didnt include 4k blu ray player to squeeze down price to $400. Scorpio will be between $600-700 realistically

Not sure if it fits the description, but this is pretty lol worthy.

Because it now looks like either both pc and consoles gamers will all be playing the same shit equally at 4k/60fps or even worse, that console gamers will be playing in 4k while 95% of the "master race" will still be playing 1440p.

how long will console gamers be playing games at 4k while most of us are stuck at 1440p waiting for 1440p/200hz, 4k/100hz, 4k Ultrawide etc.

How do you guys feel about 1440p being the sweet spot for pc gamers now that console gamers will be gaming in 4k? How will it look for the "master race" if the "peasants" are enjoying themselves at higher resolutions?

@iandizion713: I don't support consolidating all the threads into a sticky to mitigate hate. I believe in locking clone threads or threads that dont add to the conversation, making a sticky is just stupid imo. I am still against threads like this

The PS4 Pro is a logical upgrade if you already own a PS4. I'm definitely getting one this fall/

If you don't have a console, well, it's a bit more complicated but it still does well against the Xbox One S and the to be Project Scorpio.

Look, im definitely getting one because im tired of the frame rate issues these boxes have, but Amazon is a poor judge of potential sales, always has been.

New product releases ALWAYS shoot to number 1 for a while. The Playstation TV was there for a while, same for Ouya and every other failed electronic device.

If its new with moderate hype...........itll be number one.

Lets stop using Amazon as a guage for anything but new products going on sale.
