I'll play SSBB alot more as long as the online is implemented decently. Also, the online is free! No paying for XBL:P
I pick SSBB, only because I like the previous two and I waited so long. Plus it's my main reason to get a wii.. Which one's yours tc??OroinMan, I'm not even sure myself. My biased thoughrs would make me take SSBB but I saw videos reviews of Halo 3 and you can do a lot of stuff. In features they really close imo. That's why I made this thread for. lol:P To know people thoughts.
I choose SSBB anyway.
Not true. This is: Which is more valuable to you, SSBB or Halo 3? In terms of replayability and other factors.SSBB and Halo 3 are nothing alike. basically this thread is just another Wii Vs. 360.

Halo 3 by far, I could never play SSBB for hours at a time.kevy619You must have been doing it wrong.
For me, it was like Lay's chips. I could never seem to not play for hours at a time.

SSBB just isnt my type of thing. Id rather play DOA4 or Soul Caliber 4.
...serious question: Will Brawl even be the most bang-for-your-buck Fighter?
Soul Calibur 4 will be online. FACT.
Tekken 6 will be online. FACT.
Virtua Fighter 5 will be online in a month or so. FACT.
DoA4 is still being played like crazy almost 2 years post launch. FACT.
Do we now suspect Brawl will be more played that all of these? Will it be better than any of these, given the better online solutions Microsoft and Sony are providing, vs. the obtuse, poorly implemented Wii online and friends codes?
I think that we should discuss this before comparing it to the standard for console online multiplayer that is Halo 3.

I love the way that the Smash Brothers series plays.

This makes absolutely no sense. It's like saying this:
PDZ is online. FACT.
GRAW is online. FACT.
COH 4 is online. FACT.
Generic FPS which I forget what name it has is online. FACT.
Will Halo 3 be played more than those? Of course they both will.

Both will last the owner of their respected systems years. You can't go wrong either way. That said, I value being able to *communicate* with people I play with. Wii online is still decrepid in that respect.Dreams-Visions
I don't see how it's not Halo 3.
You got the single player, different modes of it. SP with 3 player co-op and then add in the meta scoring thing along with thre Skulls. Then you have the MP which I like (and I HATED Halo 2 MP mind you). And on top of that you have Forge which in itself is a new mode of gameplay really. Halo 3 is WELL worth the money and then some really.
I'll be interested in the additional maps I hope they release early 2008 maybe
Edit: And I forgot the Playback feature and snapshots which is great too.

That would be because Halo 3 is probably the better, more fleshed out, more impressive online FPS.
What's your point?
My question is why are we comparing BRAWL to the best, most robust and feature-filled multiplayer game on the market today and for the forseeable future when BRAWL has yet to prove that it'll even be the best in its genre THIS YEAR? :|

---OkeyDokey---
No reasons? Just...because?
Halo 3. Forge, Theater, Matchmaking, 4 player co-op, freakin mic. support!
SSBB-co-op adventure, online vs..
Halo 3 for me. Nintendo is really letting me down with the games and the quality of their games. MP3 I thought would be different, but I turned out wrong. If SSBB fails too, I am selling my Wii.
SSBB's replayability is infintite, especially now with online, 2 player co-op mode and a robust multiplayer.groudyogre
Halo 3's brings more. You can essentially create your own maps, gametypes, and add weapons and gear on the fly in Forge mode.
...and if we consider Brawl "robust" in its online offerings, what is Halo 3? "Sublime"? "God-like"? Because where we see 2 player co-op on Brawl, we see 4 player co-op on Halo 3. Of course, we can go on and on.
Feature for feature, Halo 3 brings more. But again, why even compare it to Halo 3 at this point? Are Sheep now saying Brawl will be better than Tekken 6? VF5 online? Will it even outscore DoA4 (by getting a 9.0)?
Hmm...

I think the Sheep may be a bit too close to the trees to see the forest now. Too many individual updates are warping their brains. ;)
so wait... a fighter only with ridiculously awful online vs a full on epic campaign, massive multiplayer, replay theater, and game edior..hmmm.. only a fanboy would vote for SSBB.. Ill wait for galaxy untill I play my wii again.

The point is that they're different games. Online isn't what made SSB and SSBM the games that they are. Online didn't affect these games in previous gens and now all of a sudden it's going to matter now?
As for Halo 3 and SSBB online multiplayer, Halo 3's is obvioiusly superior, but to many people, that is not the defining "more bang for your buck" option. It might be for you, but not everyone sees it that way. Therefore, you can argue online all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that people would still play SSBB despite its archaic online more than the other games you listed.

Honestly dude I don't even understand how people can compare SSBB to Halo 3. Halo 3 has an insane amount of features. I've done hours of playing by just editing maps on forge and alone. I mean there is SOOOOOOOOO much content in Halo 3 it's insane. I mean the SP itself is a lot of new meat inside with the new 4p co-op and the skulls and the MP seems way better IMO then Halo 2
SSBB by far. Halo is great, but I cant play more than a few multiplayer matches, it just gets really boring fast for me, co-op is a totally different story though, Ive spent gigantic amounts of time on that. While with Melee me and my friends have been known to play all day. Other fighters are just not as exhilarating as SSB is.
I hate stamina and time limits, stock lives and unlimited time where you literally smash your opponent out of the ring to win is so much more fun for me than traditional fighters, which like Halo I can only stand to play for a few matches before getting insanely bored with them. SC is the only fighting series that I ever really got into enough to cut into SSB, albeit extremely marginally.

Bang for the buck essentially means which will have a higher replay value. And SSBB, in my opinion, has a far less replay value than Halo 3.
