Yea never heard of those games. Only Stalker and Demigod..

h575309

too bad for you they are all amazing

Theres a ton of crap on that list, alot of which scored badly here and all around the general press. Thats ok though.

Yep, Consolespot doesn't give a damn about PC games, but that doesn't mean that they actually suck.

After summing all negatives and positives about both hardware and software I'll say PCs = Consoles. Games, graphics, ease of use, entertainment, cost, size, compatibility, controllers, shape, electrical bills, online, piracy and the likes all were counted and I must say I enjoy them both equally.

NinjaOmega

and 90% of console games are on PC /thread

also: not even close to 90% of PC games are on console.....do you even know 1% of the PC games?

Fallout 3 is another example,Face it sooner or later starcraft 2 will come to the 360 and ps3 one of these days.Simply PC gaming cant keep up with the big boys.

you'd really want to play starcraft 2 with a gamepad?

[QUOTE="Mau-Justice"]How was GTA4 on PC?organic_machine

Incredible, actually! For once, they finally nailed the driving so using the keyboard doesn't feel like crap. In fact, and I may be biased slightly, I prefer using the keyboard to drive in GTA 4 to the controller. And we all know the shooting is more precise with the mouse.

And, grapghically speaking, it looks great. I always hated GTA 4's shadows and I am glad I was allowed to disable them.

You're not the only one. Usually, I prefer driving games with a controller, but GTA4 actually feels better for driving with the keyboard, it's strange.

I lol with some people . trying to look PC as the ultimate pirate machine , where there are so many examples of tremendous piracy on others gaming machines...

Dreamcast - PsP - X360 - Xbox - PS2 - Ps1 - Amiga 500 - Atari St etc etc...

I mean , piracy is not something new , is something like from 80s...assuming VG industry. Dreamcast even died from piracy , PSP's piracy is hard , X360 piracy getting higher each year... I mean... come on...

PC is better because it has:

1- Free And Solid Online Gaming (not talking about MMOs ).

2- its the Best System for FPS And RTS ( I dare Anyone with a controller to be faster than My mouse ).

3- PC Has Huge Library ( more than any console that man ever made ).

4- Cheap games, also it has Downloadable Games.

5- Better communities.

and more things that I'll Spend days to count.

90% of PC games have a dumbed down console version now for example Crysis 2.

90% of console games can be found on PC now for example MGS Rising.

See wut i did thar?

Hanass

I could care less about Crysis. I bet any consolite doesnt care.

Yep MGS Rising. Too bad It'll be better on consoles. MGS3 is better and is not on PC.

So crappy graphics = the better game? Even if you don't care about graphics, there is no way someone who's not a half-assed mongoloid could come to that conclusion.

So tell me, what makes the console version better? And whatever that is, it's gotta outweigh free online, much better graphics and mods to make it better.

Erm console versions now dont have crappy graphics.

Okay, all you did now was dodge the question and change the subject. Either way, your new argument means nothing because you're just throwing a random statement without comparing it to anything. Everything is relative. I will admit that consoles have godly graphics compared to the Super Nintendo, but by 2009's standards, they pretty bad to say the least.

how is it better when all you have to play is starcraft and you need to upgrade your PC every month for $2000? and besides, the graphics can't even touch killzone 2. :P :P :P remember, half life and starcraft ripped straight off of halo :P ---- back to reality, I respect that PC has the better technology and such, but console gaming is more convenient for me.

i buy from steam so theres no install limits or caps for almost every game.

and bugs are hardly prevelent in mainstream games at least no more so than in console games. most of the bad games come from quick console ports used as cash ins and from small independant developers who hardly have the resources to do a quality check as much as the bigger developers.

Ah, the classic "you must have never played a PC game". I was a PC gamer back in the days of Doom, Descent, MechWarrior 2, Wing Commander III. Thief, Quake II, and Jedi Knight, just to name a few favorites. But no, you're right. Any critic of PC gaming must be driven by blind, uninformed hate. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

Exactly, I know how to upgrade PCs and all, but I don't always have the time and money for that, that's why I pick consoles, not to mention the exclusives they have.

not to be an as* but time and money? no one forces you to upgrade or spend any more than on a console. if thats a reason youre not on the pc youre fooling yourself into believing myths.

Yeah. I'm loving the exclusives on all the systems. When I'm playing on my PC, it's usually CS 1.6, Bioshock, some random MMO (not anymore, but I used to), or youtube :P

all gaming pcs within this gen can yea. you cant compare a normal pc to a console thats like comparing a normal blu-ray player to a ps3.

thinking its more convienent and it actually being so are two different things. personally i find the pc much much much more convienent than a console.

people who talk about convience then mention upgrading all the time again are just buying into a stupid myth and choosing to be ignorant

Most people that I know don't buy new PCs. They upgrade their old ones. Maybe his old PC can't run extremely high end games and he doesn't want to upgrade it. And I respect that you prefer PC gaming. Consoles just suit me (and others) better.

exactly they upgrade old ones. but technically its no different than buying a new console every 5-6 years. and if you choose you can do it as often.

which is what im saying theres no difference there. if you feel its more of a convience buying a new system instead of just upgrading really youre kidding yourself

the thing is that all consoles will run the game the same. no performance issues on the console's part. With the PC you can't always be sure that a system you buy in the beginning of the gen will be able to run something that comes out later on in the same gen.

yes yes you can. another outdated misconception. just like the settings decrease as the consoles age you have to decrease the settings as the hardware ages.

on a related not the pc also has mods that allow 'old' hardware to run games better than stock settings or work when theyre not supported ex oldblivion and the sm2.0 mod for bioshock.

the only people on the pc that run into issues are people who try playing games on max with old hardware.

I'm talking about running PC games on their highest settings, you can't adjust the settings on a console game can you? With consoles, you buy a game and you don't need to upgrade your hardware since it's fixed. With PC, if you want to play them the way it's meant to be played, you will need to upgrade to max out everything at 1920x1080 or higher res. I'm not saying upgrading your hardware is bad, but you need to spend more money if you want your game looking at it's best at high res(along with other things). It's worth it in the long run though.

Who said you needed the max the settings on PC??? It's not like console can even touch PC settings a la 1080p and all other settings.

If you want more, you pay more... it's simple logic.

but thats the thing why such a double standard? console games never run on the equivelent of max so why should the pc games have to? most of the time any hardware from the start of the gen will run games at the end on the same settings with a better frame rate or at a higher resolution or such.

You already know consoles can't max out games like the PC, the hardware is fixed, so it can't be upgraded. PC gives you more options to be sure that anyone can run it, just like consoles.

It's all optional, and since we all know PC is better than consoles, why not run them at max settings, low settings are for those who don't pay for a decent gaming PC and is for everyone. If you're really a PC gamer, would you play your games on low or high settings?

That's one of the few reasons to do it, I agree with that.

Yep, trying to convince console fanboys like me is hard isn't it? Yes, money plays a huge factor, and we all know that, I just want the best use of PC games as much as possible. To be honest, I never really liked playing games on lowest settings, it's good if you don't have a lot of money to spare and get it to work on your PC, but for some odd reason, in my mind it's really about looking the best and getting higher frames per second too. That's what happens when you care too much about graphics, LOL. I need to stop.

While I do care about graphics, it's also about the exclusives, and I prefer more of them on consoles. The PC has more AAA and AA of course, but I don't find them as interesting as consoles, it's all preference. I buy a lot of multiplats on PC though, I have some multiplats on the 360, 2 for PS3 and none for the Wii.
