Just because the engine can run at above medium settings on the 360 does not mean it could run Crysis above medium settings. Also, do you have a link confirming that's what the devs said? When you were a little kid did you sit to close to the tv or stare at the microwave by any chance?

the 360 version will most likely either have texture pop in,s or reduced ragdoll effects, i cant see them having the same draw distance as the pc version with only 512 of ram but then again, they got splinter cell running on the ps2 didnt they :)

Well, after the last pics and info, i have to admit Crysis looks impressive

Maybe i am wrong, and Crysis does push more, and is just that Fable 2 uses most of Crysis effects, and almost as good lighitng/shadows/light beams, combined with the amazing art i like more than any game, that makes me think it looks so much better overall

Still it is by miles the closest thing to Crysis, nothing looks as good as any of the games, bar maybe Far Cry 2, which feels a lot emptier than both though

Still, Fable 2 has 9 months of more polish to go

Fable 2 does use REAL volumetric lighting, does not immitate it at all, and all those move with the sun, it is every bit as incredible as in Crysis

Also the vegetation is HUGE in Fable 2, hosts of trees, full grass coverage, flowers, etc, it is just FULL of foligage, so the above statement that Crysis has more foliage just does not stand, that forest pic is FULL of foliage, you can barely put more stuff there, would not make sense even

Also EVERYTHING in Fable 2 casts a shadows EVERYWHERE too, same as Crysis

So, all in all, EVERYTHING Crysis does in lighting, Fable 2 does, bar one, subsurface scattering, which is minor IMO

The post above just proves that Crysis does not do much more than Fable 2 does, at all

they didn't specify. I would bet they have a Very High setting available to the PC that will be using the higher end hardware. You may need to turn the resolution down to 720p though.

he really seemed to be sort of dodging the question of console graphics. he said it will "hold up to the graphical standard" but that is REALLY vague... That could mean that it will look like the second highest setting on a lower resolution than the PC would have, or it could mean it is the medium setting at the lower resolution.

Why? PC's are much more powerful then a console. If a PC can run Far Cry 2 at 1920x1200 at 30+ fps on high, then it can run it at at least 1680x1050 (1050p) on very high and have a FPS over 30. I can run Crysis on very high settings at over 40 fps at 1440x900 (900p) resolution.karasill

I was just guessing.. For all we know the Very High could have some really demanding features in it compared to the High setting.. What you said is likely but you never know.

Well, this is just a sea, i want a forest pic, with sun rays to compare, the natural mod seems great though, and Crysis does look impressive there i agree, but frankly i sill do not see anything mid blowing comparing to that Fable 2 forest pic TBH

ATI has already said that the Xbox 360 is not DX10 compatible, that only makes your arguement null. All of those games will look better on the PC, will play better on the PC; or would you like to explain with both Mass Effect and Gears of War are better on the PC?

This is the funniest **** I have ever seen. People who think fable2 on a technical stand point is better than crysis are just crazy. Also if some of oyu are going by this. Then GTA5 must be better on a more technical standpoint then Forza2 even though forza2 as some of the most advanced phisycs in a a car game while GTA5 has barely any.Killfox

gran tourismo 5 makes forza look like crap graphically. no word of a lie forza looks last gen by comparison. dont try to compare them unless you've played both games. also the physics in forza are not as great as you tout them to be. and also even if the physics in GT are slightly at a dissadvantage, well what does forza have 50 cars??? i believe(though im not sure) GT is heading into the thousands with the car list. also GT has waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy more tracks. and damage i believe has been confirmed on lower branded cars(ford, dodge, chev, etc). basically forza doesn't even touch GT just like fable doesn't even touch crysis.

also quit using that same damn screen for fable it makes the game look far better then it actually does, and the screen isn't even that good. damn lemmings

The draw distance is big in Fable 2, it is time of day that makes it seems that way

I will agree about textures though, Crusis rocks are much more detailed, at least for now, but i still think Fable 2 will not get that kind of textures in any way TBH, still the textures ARE good in the latest pics, and the forest pics is not lit in a way that would make textures look good, if you know what i mean

The trees are far from low polygon IMO, you just can't see them properly in that pic, here is a better one

And i agree that textures, visibility, and stuff around is more in Crysis, due to huge draw distance that is, but still in close by stuff Fable 2 looks amazing, and i still can't tell hw they handle LOD, it may have areas with great visibility too
