Because the average IQ of an american isnt that high and PC takes you having to know something, in other countries PC is much bigger. Its a fact, americans want it simple, right there and in there lap without having to do any work. Im american so dont flame me ;p

SO you are saying that Americans play consoles because we are lazy? Thats funny...if you ask most people "older group" sitting around on a pc or console is for a bunch of lazy worthless turds..
I really dont know what to say to you. That comment is actually really ignorant. I can build and work on pcs. Is it easy? Not always. And games dont just run themselves you know. After building the PC "which does take brains regardless of what you say"....THEN you have to install all the drivers. AND make sure you "EXPLORE" the disc because all the drivers normally dont auto install. Then you have to install your games which usually has its share of problems. Making sure you rig can even play a game can be troublesome to most people. Its not a "LAZY" issue at all..Its more of an issue of "WHY?"..and an issue of "MOST people grew up playing consoles"
PCs were not mainstreem popular for gaming EVER. They have always been targeted to a certain group. Regardless if they are more powerful, or "better to some" or have mods, free internet play,..it simply does not matter as MOST people will never get that far.
So dont think consoles are for the lazy...that is rediculous to say the least.
You made me lol. PC has the most gamers of any platform. WoW by itself has more than any consle game ever made(its boring so i really dont get it). Also idk what you mean by explore the disk, im thinking you mean go to device manager, or is it a magical disk from some company like dell where it has all the drivers on it?? Also its really not that hard to install drivers...i used to make computers daily/fix and they only take me an hour and a half to assemble install os and drivers. I am part of that lazy generation, i know what im talking about. Back to my main point, if you just learn a little about computers you wont have problems
I know alot about computers and even I have had problems building comps.... and have had lots of software issues over the years. You are clearly downplaying one of the major drawbacks of PC gaming.
lets say you build your new PC, hit the power button for the first time... it powers up, but doesnt post, and doesnt give any beep codes. How do you figure out which piece of hardware is faulty? Because outside of swapping in and out parts, which requires you to own an entire set of spare working components... there is no good way to figure that out.
