Don't worry console owners, you aren't missing much. It's the type of game where you get the really good computer and wanna see what a great game looks like on it, so you install Crysis and play it for 10 minutes, say "yaaay, Crysis, good graphics", then put away and never play again. There are much better shooters out there, both for PC and for consoles.death919Interesting! Naturally, I wonder what you say to all the reviews on many different sites that rated the 'game' AAA?
Crysis = paid exclusive
It'll be on Xbox eventually, it has more than enough power since the resolution would be under 720p.
Maybe you should actually look into what makes crysis a great game. You simply cant just downgrade it. Did you even read any of this thread???It wouldn't be unplayable, but just have everything go at a smaller resolution.
I already made a post where I talked about how a level such as Assault or Onslaught could not be done on consoles lol. But you consolites seem to love ignorng inconvinient posts like that :lol: I asked some pretty simple questions. Do you understand that levels such as those define what makes Crysis = crysis, right? You cannot scale down a huge battle into a small one because it becomes a different game, in the same way Call of Duty 4 is a different game. You cannot keep the areas large and say scale down the stuff going on because the game then becomes empty or repetitious like Far Cry 2 or GTA4 worlds. Never mind graphics, if you scale anything else down in the game, sure it might still have the name Crysis but it won't be the game everyone knows as Crysis lol.Crytek hasn't even show the cry engine 2 that was supposed to be running on consoles..that tells you something...McdonaIdsGuythe crysis trailers that were ran on the PS3 werent even RAN, they were 1 fps that were sped up by the RSX
Crysis looks horrible when is on a low resolution than 720p..McdonaIdsGuyi wold DIE ebfore i played crysis eblow 1680x1050 PC hermits are perfectionists on resolution matters :P
I concur. A game with "Crysis" in it's name can be done on console.
Crysis and Crysis Warhead however can not. Changing anything or toning them down would mean they're a differet game. End.

No Crysis trailers were EVER run on a PS3. In any form.

Hmm. I commend you. This is what we have been saying the whole time but people keep ignoring it. If you take away what makes crysis crysis. Then its not crysis at all.why would anyone buy a game stripped of the pc version physics ,textures and just plain good looks...i think the games on consoles look bad enough as it is( to explain this point i'll just say that it kills immersion for me when i see some terrible texture out of the blue in a game thats trying to look great...)leonjureticSame reason why people prefer Consoles over PC, whether its Money or just personal taste...(controller, HDTV, etc) Besides, the consoles version would still look great and for some that's GOOD ENOUGH.
