Why isn't Crysis on consoles yet?

I would also like MGS4 and Little big Planet port to PC and they would actualy make much more sense than a port of Crysis to consoles, but it won't happen. But you won't see me whining and flooding forums with tears.

Wide open environments are the parts of crysis that really shine. For example there is a part of the game where a tank battle occurs, a battalion from either side fights over grassland with groups of foliage. Now you have a number of choices; you can drive a tank through and battle it out with the NK tank devision, you can go stealth and sneak through the areas where the foliage is thicker and destroy the enemy with plastic explosives/guerilla style rocket volleys, or you can just skip everything and let the marines deal with it, albeit poorly. You may or may not want to destroy the AA in the process. If you do a drop ship will come to your aid dropping shock troops and a gauss rifle... it is just a bonus objective.

That whole environment couldn't exist on consoles without significant loss of quality and choice of the player. It does a lot of new AND old, but doing it all at the same time is what makes it shine.

Like I said, a "Crysis: Instinct" would not actually be Crysis, it would just try to emulate the experience superficially, just like how Far Cry had nothing to do with Far Cry: Instinct other than sharing the name and looking somewhat similar. Anyone can make a game that kind of looks and kind of acts like Crysis. In fact that's sort of what Far Cry 2 did. If you want a Crysis game that plays and looks like Far Cry 2, then more power to you. I'll stick with the original.IndianaJosh

RE4, LBP, KZ2, MGS4, GEARS...etc..all have innovation and originality at some point. Eyezonmii

lol..LBP isn't a shooter and from this list the only one that can compete with Crytek games in terms in originality and innovation is RE4
