Would Infamous 2's 7.5 score been such a big deal here if...

...you guys didn't insist on hyping the thing to be AAA? it has an 8.3 at metacritic which really isn't that far off from gamespot's 7.5 and there were 17 other sources who rated it the same as or LOWER than gs did.

Cows cannot control their hype. This has been proven over and over and over again.

Stop it. It's a big deal because people support the game and think its great or better. That's it.

Well Infamous got a 9.0 and Infamous 2 is superior to Infamous in every way possibly so it was reasonable to hype it AAA

Not some PS3 owners like me as Infamous 1 is my favourite PS3 game and as an PS3 exclsuive it would always generate alot of hype

i guess, i mean its 5 months later, everyone who wanted to play it has played it, we all made our assessments about it, which i didn't agree with gamespot score and moved on with my life. Also Mcshea gave skyward sword the same score as infamous 2 so i don't see the point in this thread. Chris_Williams

Hype normally clouds people's rationale. When they'e pretty excited about something, and a game didn't receive the praise they think it deserves... they lash out. I thought the GS review was pretty reasonable.Stevo_the_gamer

I agree, the game was fun, but the review was spot on.

Though I also have to ask, what's the point of mentioning inFamous 2 now? It's November, the game came out in June?

I didn't have that much problem with the score of the inFAMOUS review. It was the reasoning for docking marks that were pretty much false. It's like he forgot everything from the first game and didn't know how to play the second. You use electrical sources to regain health Mcshea COME ON! Nobody should be waiting 20 seconds in a black and white screen for their health to regen.

Perhaps I'm a bit biased because I think the inFAMOUS games are the best sony published exclusives for the PS3, but that part of the review seemed like he did not know how to play the game

I can agreewith that complaint. It's kind of like when the Gamespot Review complained about Tools of Destruction having an "Identity Crisis" despite all that Ratchet and Clank games never being pure platformers. A stupid criticism is a stupid critcism. :P

no, the TC talks about how infamous 2 MC score was 8.3 and how the gamespot review wasn't to far from it, skyward sword is getitng great reviews and gamespot review is the black sheep... i don't see how infamous 2 and skyward sword are comparable or even still why TC is bringing up infamous 2. Infamous 1 got a 9 from Tom at its mesirabl state .... the hype was justified, but the low score wasn't, I still think Infamous 1 is better in some areas than 2.
