[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="-Patrick_92-"]Agreed, I didn't have a problem with the leveling curve though...I always end up over-training anyways :P-Patrick_92-
Haha, Ruby/Sapphire was the one game in the series where picking a starter and then leveling him up to obscene extents actually made the game easier all around than actually training a balanced team :P

I'm one of those players who have to keep a balanced team, feels like I'm giving special treatment if I train one of them up higher than the others lol. I know...weird XD Sometimes I go out of my way and level up a certain Pokemon to their next evolution, and just catch up the others after.

That's how I play it now; I have a full team of six at any given point (and with the abolition of HMs in B/W, that became even easier); all of my Pokemon are always within two levels of each other.

Yeah I was expecting better but Gamefreak has always keeped it simple. Plus it's still 9 months away, so there's plenty of time for it to look better.

Huh. My Riolu had just died in the previous battle, I dunno how it was happy enough to evolve :P

I usually have about 3 or 4 Pokemon in my party for the first have of the game or so (well more or less depending on the version). Easier to get them to higher levels while sticking to the balanced strategy, and of course an HM Pokemon for the moves like Cut and Rock Smash. I never started out wanting to "catch them all", I usually start doing that at the end of the game. I plan my parties before I play, and fill in the missing spots in my party when I can get to those Pokemon.

Call me conservative, but I really do not like the camera perspective. :? I think I'd still prefer the traditional top down 2D viewpoint.

awful and inexcusable. I'm no graphics snob but today it is easy to make games that at least look crisp. That just hurts the eyes to look at. They could have covered up the lack of polygons with a style like cel shading as well, but that would require effort. It's so strange since Nintendo has made plenty of great looking games on the 3DS. They don't match the high end standards of today but they are crisp and clear.

you aren't just conservative. That perspective shows less relevant information than previous games in the series. How important could it be to see that far? Is it worth it to restrict the view of the things to the side and the rear? I doubt it.

Yeah, anyone that doesn't know everything about every video game is an idiot. I should really stay on top of things.

It's not like I openly bashed the game, I just said I didn't like it. Maybe if you weren't so stuck up about your superior video game knowledge you wouldn't sound like such an ass.

I don't know what you are talking about. I watched the trailer and there is only one camera angle. It just pans around in that one view. It still offers less information than the top down perspective, with no practical benefit or challenge presented by the variations in topography. The graphics are also heavily pixelated and stuttery in-game, which will no doubt scramble your eyes if the 3D is on at all. You owe that guy an apology

Yes there are some different angles in the game, but they are only in specific areas to provide a more cinematic feel. b/w did the same thing

Wow there is nothing about a traditional top down view in the trailer. I've run into some rabid, delusional, idiotic people in System Wars but this might trump everything. Being ridiculed for not knowing something that doesn't exist. Only people in System Wars can be so arrogant about something that is blatantly false.

That's not all you said, you said I sounded dumb for not knowing there were more camera angles. Completely disregarding the fact the other camera angles are not what I prefer. I still prefer the traditional top-down 2D view. The trailer changed nothing. You are an idiot, I'm putting you in the category with Shadowmoses and Fear of people I cannot take seriously. Hell, I've never even seen them act so idiotic and arrogant about something so stupid.

Not sure If I like the new look, the Battle System looks better, but the rest of the game ? Eh IDk looks average at best. They got awhile to Polish it up so I will see how it turns out when it release.

I said this in the XY offical thread, and this is coming from a huge Pokemon fan but...People do realize that it truly is Pokemon Black/White's graphics with a different prospective right? Its not even full 3D, however, the battle animations look absolutely superb and will only get better. So I am happy about that.

I'm one of those players who have to keep a balanced team, feels like I'm giving special treatment if I train one of them up higher than the others lol. I know...weird XD Sometimes I go out of my way and level up a certain Pokemon to their next evolution, and just catch up the others after.

That's how I play it now; I have a full team of six at any given point (and with the abolition of HMs in B/W, that became even easier); all of my Pokemon are always within two levels of each other.

do you guys EV train?

[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="k2theswiss"]3ds = upgraded ds...Mario1331

Hahahahahahahaha! No.

well technically it is and i dont see that as a bad thing

It's an entirely new system. He is implying it's a DS revision. There is a big difference.

Does not matter. They could put a pikachu shaped piece of sh*t in a box and people would still buy it.

[QUOTE="charizard1605"] That's how I play it now; I have a full team of six at any given point (and with the abolition of HMs in B/W, that became even easier); all of my Pokemon are always within two levels of each other.charizard1605

I used to, but I stopped after Diamond/Pearl.

Meh I would never bother playing it, I doubt pokemon fans care about the graphics which is why they don't bother making the game look any good.
