Nintendo does not care about technology, they are always a gen behind. This is why it is very important for them to never become the only one, if it is they would take us all back to the stone age of gaming. The only good thing about Nintendo is their 1st party games, which is the only reason I buy their systems.

Honestly they would just be better off as 3rd party really.

N64 was more powerful but the disparity in graphics was nowhere near as big as the PS3 vs Wii.

On topic, I could care less about the graphics...I just want there to be some major gameplay changes and for it to really differentiate itself from past Pokemon entries.

this thread is not about the Vita or Sony.We are talking about the new Pokemon game and it looks like the same rehash but now in 3D. Since 1996 the gameplay of this franchise hasn't evolved one bit beside some gimmick here and there like the pointless breeding or dual battles which add nothing to the strategy of a game that is nothing more than an archaic turn-based game with limited options and cookie cutter progression. Even the first Dragon Quest game which came out in 1986 has deeper mechanics and overall gameplay than the newest Pokemon game from 2011!

And is not just the games, have you ever seen an episode of the Pokemon anime? It's like freaking deja-vu but all the freaking time! It's literally the same thing over and over and over again. This phenomenon is just plain weird if you ask me. Nobody milks like Nintendo and Game Freak. Period.

Colosseum was remarkably small and limited. In fact, this game offers the 3D battles for over 600-700 Pokemon. Furthermore, Colosseum was made by an entirely different developer. There is no way to know if they could re-use assets, and I very much doubt it due to the artstyle.

Actually, they are a small development studio. GameFreak only hires around 90 employees.
