@DevilD2005 Sadly television will always cater to the masses. The stupid reality tv watching, soap opera obsessed, trendy, disgusting masses. Thus for every Firefly, Dexter or BattleStar Galactica we get a thousand dancing with the stars or survivor or one tree hill or the oc or sex in the city or. . . . . oh geeez i just threw up in my mouth.

I hope in the future we eventually get to the point where there is just one device for all interactive media needs. As it stands now I own every console, except for the wii-u, and a gaming PC. They take up a lot of room, they take up a bunch of electrical sockets. It's annoying. Another plus from having one dedicated system would be no more console fanboys. I own over 200 games for my xbox and around 25 for my ps3 yet I'm not a xbox fanboy. I care about the games, not what system I play them on.

@Senor_Kami It wouldn't mean every game would have to be installed. It just means that some games, if decided by the developer, would have to be installed to play, but not all. I'm sure for some games it would not be necessary. For instance some games tell you at start up "performance will be enhanced if you install the game." With the xbox720, games that would say that, will now just say "install or exit".

@aladdinW @1valiantknight Well the beginning of AC3 did that pretty well. It certainly made you think. A whole game from that perspective could be fun.

@BigSowce I fully disagree. However a spin off title purely about Naval Warfare would indeed be welcome. It could be called Assassins Creed: The Crimson Wave. Hmmm. No maybe that's not such a good name.

If AC3 had been more of the same from past games I would have been happy. However they went so far above and beyond bringing in elements from games like Red Dead Redemption and even Skyrim. It was a big open awesome experience and is now in my top 10 favorite games of all time. I agree with most of what this article says except that it used the term complicated as if it was a bad thing.

I don't think AC3 was overly complicated at all and I don't think developers should shy away from making games even more complicated. I'm sick of this trend of making games as simple as possible so the simple minded masses can all play. I'm glad AC3 had so many different elements. I enjoyed managing my home stead, upgrading my ship and crafting items to use and sell via shipping routes. I only wish there were more items to craft, buy and sell. Looking back I fail to see how anything was particularly, complicated. The game is rated M, anyone old enough to play should find the games systems fairly simple to use.

@ThePowerOfHAT Keep in mind this reviewer said the story in the first two games was confusing so he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. I'll let myself judge the quality of the story as most of the time review sites don't seem to get it. Maybe it has something to do with them trying to quickly get a review out but often times they say a games story is confusing or muddled when in reality for anyone paying attention it's quite clear.
