Maybe it's just because I've read the novel or payed close attention while playing the games but I've never found the story of Dead Space to be difficult to follow.
From that video I have no idea what this game is about. The combat looks pretty cool, like it could be a lot of fun. I like the idea of big open worlds to explore and climb around. But unless the environments get a lot more interesting I'm gonna pass. I'm hoping this is just some reeeaaally early testing.
@SavoyPrime @elgordofreeman No she has not been redesigned. She just looks different with her hair styled differently and in a different dress. Personally I'm glad her appearance will be changing at least once throughout the game.
Bioshock 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games ever. I keep going back to Rapture just because I love the atmosphere. It's unlike any other game I've ever played. The story is also a huge part of what made the games so great. I love that they were inspired by Ayn Rand. Andrew Ryan, Ayn Rand hear the similarities, it's a partial anagram. Most people probably don't know that Ayn Rand's Philosophy, objectivism, was a huge inspiration for the game. It was a bold move to make a FPS so deep when most FPS fans just want something like COD.
The Bioshock games so far have been so amazing on so many levels I have no doubt Infinite will be amazing as well. I will continue diving back into Rapture but I also can't wait to rise to Columbia. I will continue to be a fan of the Bioshock franchise as long as it continues to deliver FPS' for gamer's with brains.
@Evidense I can't believe this. So what your saying is people are so incredibly weak minded that they are easily swayed by watching fictional violence on TV? I don't know where you live, but my friends and myself have enjoyed violent media growing up and none of us are violent offenders.
As for your other topic guns. I don't like guns. However I will fight to protect our right to own them because the alternative is far worse. If guns are indeed made illegal good people will give up there guns and bad people will not. If guns are outlawed the only people with guns will be outlaws.
If a person is so incredibly mentally unstable that they can't tell the difference between what is okay in a video game and what is okay in real life they obviously already have a serious problem. These kids that are so easily being corrupted by violent video games obviously have no concept of right and wrong. Whose fault is that!?!!? It is not the video games fault. It's their parents responsibility to teach children the difference between right and wrong. The difference between the real world and fiction.
If a mentally unstable person where to read Twilight for example and then walk outside and see someone in a sparkly shirt and stab them to death do you think politicians and government officials would call for studies on terrible teen novels? I think not!
Obviously the video game industry can't take a silent stance on this topic. However I still firmly believe that the idea that video games or the industry has anything to do with violence in the real world is utterly ridiculous. Can violence in video games inspire some one to commit violence in the real world? Only if that person is mentally unstable. Are children impressionable? Yes, of course they are, and they probably shouldn't see some of the stuff in these adult rated video games. But that's not the fault of the video game industry. That's the fault of the parents who let their children play with something meant for adults.
@Samael_Hain And anyone who can't tell the difference between what is okay in a movie or video game and what is okay in real life obviously already has a serious mental instability.
@soldierofAthens You could not be any more correct. The problem is not with the video games or even the violence. The problem stems from the parents and the home life of these children.
