Here's what I think: from a hardware perspective, PC will always dominate. I love my PS3 but my PC can run circles around it. What this really boils down to, in my opinion, is interface. Cars and aircraft just don't feel right on a mouse and keyboard. Yes, you can buy controllers and such but the core of the PC gaming community involves mouse and keyboard. And to that, FPS/RPG/MMO/RTS/TBS have gotten PC written all over it.

In the end, I'll probably buy the day one copy for my PS3 and once I've completed it and gotten bored with it, I'll pick up the PC version and install every mod I can find and have a great time.

Flame on fanboys, I'll be over here having fun with my video games instead of arguing about them.

I know they're celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear series, but I couldn't help but do a double take when it said "25th Anniversary Edition" of a 2008 game. I thought maybe I drove my flying Delorean into work and got it up to 88 mph.

@mumfaud That all depends on how you define success. It's been my experience that the Wii for most people is a lot like a treadmill....lots of people have one but few use it. We all played one at a friend's house and had a blast (because we were with friends), then bought one ourselves and quickly discovered it's not nearly as much fun when playing by ourselves.

@Witchsight Unfortunately, people like you and I are becoming the minority. It's the online-addicted that forces developers to focus less on the campaign and more on MP. Keep the faith brother!!!!

@SirNormanislost Your post reminds of the microtransaction model. I get your message for free, but if I want punctuation, it'll cost me 800 MS points. :D

Day 1 buy for me!!! That is, I'll buy it the very first day it hits the bargain bin.

The times, they are a'changin'. And I don't like where it's going. So here's my plan: I've got 34 games across PS3, X360, Wii, and PC. I've got an additional 49 games that I will pick up used or at dirt cheap prices. After that, I'll probably pick up a spare PS3 and Xbox 360 and just play those 83 games until I'm dead or my fingers don't work anymore.

My god....I am so sick of so many people misunderstanding what's going on here.

I myself am an Apple user and I'm f'ing tired of people calling me a blind follower who will buy whatever Apple "craps out" (as the ever-eloquent DeathJr96 puts it). I had an iphone and really liked it, but decided to give it up to save some money and not carry a data plan, so now I have an iPod touch. I also have an iPad. I use both devices for movies, music, and games, but they serve very different purposes. I use the iPad for it's superior screen size for a fuller visual experience and the iTouch for providing the music to my car stereo and, quite frankly, something to read in the john :). I also have a Galaxy S phone that I use without a data plan, just so I have the Android experience as well.

The assumption that, because I like Apple products, I'm going to run out and by the iPad Mini is f'ing ridiculous. My bases are covered, so I don't need another product. However, what about someone who has no Apple products and wants a medium-sized device to handle all their entertainment needs? Perhaps they wants an e-reader that fits in a purse?

I've never heard so much whining because a company provides multiple options for a consumer.

Has anyone complained to Ford because they have 3 DIFFERENT SIZES of SUVs to choose from (Escape, Explorer, and Expedition)???? Is it possible that those three vehicles serve three different needs?

All that said, I was extremely disappointed in the iPhone 5. The Galaxy S3 has set the bar high and I was really hoping to see something from Apple that was on par with it. However, I'm not going to hate the whole damn company just because the iPhone 5 was a letdown. I'm just not going to buy it. Simple as that.
