The Mario franchise would die on the spot if they tried to give it a proper storyline, just look at the 3D Sonics (with the exception of Sonic Adventure, which was half-way decent).

Mario games aren't supposed to be deep, just fun.

They could still try

I agree actually, I don't know how long they intend to keep the same story, it's already been 20 years.

I don't think it'll happen overnight though, it'll probably be a slow process over a few games so that the fanboys dont get their knickers in a twist.

This is how it will go....PS3 will get beat up in USA by 360 and PS3 will beat up 360 in the rest of the world.

It is a true USA vs. The Rest of the World scenario.

Not really.. the 360 sells more hardware and games in other countries like the United Kingdom and Australia. Im sure there are others.

i dont care about sales... as long as ps3 keep coming out with awesome games im happy with it

only ignorant fanboys spend all their time reading and looking for evidence for future failure of other systems..

so my advice for you, dont waste ur time...we will find out the success for which ever system in the near future so enjoy which ever system u own

OoSuperMarioO

I agree the PS3 is a great system and I much rather have one then a 360 but both are great.

If you're into games, the 360 is head and shoulders above the PS3.

Unless you're waiting for MGS4 and... err... FF13.

[QUOTE="thirstychainsaw"]45% bigger? But but teh DVD holds back mah games! Unpossible!AvIdGaMeR444

Yes, because the original Saints Row was sooooo huge . It was about 1/6 the size of San Andreas. So 45% bigger than Saints Row is not a big deal at all. Of course DVD9 can handle that. Now, the question is...could DVD9 handle a world the size of San Andreas with high-def graphics, sound, physics. I don't think so. Oblivion barely could, and it had plenty of load times. A huge streaming no-load time game the size of San Andreas is not possible on 360.

Liberty City was bigger than San Andreas, and alot of San Andreas was filled up with nothing. Crackdown and Saints Row are pretty much both first gen games, and they run just fine, with plenty of room to spare.

Saint's Row still holds up really well actually, why did they can the PS3 release of it again ?

Saint's Row was the first game of the series. Rockstar had 4 GTA games under their belt before San Andreas, so you never know, SR2 could be better overall. I don't see the point of hyping one over the other when both have so much potential.

erm, arent they the Wii prototypes released a few months ago ?

In any case, I've always thought a wireless controller like the two-piece one would be a good idea, just without the motion sensing.
