[QUOTE="BambooBanger"]TEN DOLLARS for THREE MAPS is expensive for something you're more likely to play on more than 500 times ?
God you people are CHEAP.

Its not the price, its the fact that what M$ charges you for shouldnt be chargable.
Who decided maps are supposed to be free ? On PC it's understandable, the majority of PC gamers download their games illegally anyway.

[QUOTE="kankthetank"]Apparently he is a terrible reviewer, not very credible at all -http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3154916Here's a review I don't think anyone would take seriously. Sure, I respectthe reviewer's opinion, but coming from a PC-centric editorial and the fact that his closing comments can apply to all games, I really just can't take it seriously. It is very obvious that he's trying so hard to rip the game apart...and at the same time take afew tired old shots at Halo 3 :roll:He gave the game a 60/100....

We have made a mistake.
The 1UP Network review of Neverwinter Nights 2, authored by Matt Peckham, has been officially retracted from 1UP.com and will not appear in the January issue of Games For Windows: The Official Magazine.
Upon further review of the author's text, listening to the feedback from our community and others, and after internal discussion between the 1UP and GFW editors, we have determined that the text of the review did not live up to our editorial standards. We respect the opinions of Mr. Peckham and all of our writers, but we felt that this particular review of Neverwinter Nights 2 did a disservice to fans of the RPG genre.
We have commissioned a new review by a different author to be published next week on 1UP.com, and in the January issue of Games For Windows.
We truly regret our error, and apologize to you, our readers.

That's HILARIOUS. How does this guy get away with such a horrid track record and still manage to be employed ?!
Since it is a PC mag, it is likely to be the most unbiased of sources. PC standards for WRPGs are so high compared to 360 and thus they can tell how poor Mass Effect is without being blindly biased to 360.TheMysticHorse
Yeah no.
The game has met and in some places surpassed my rather high expectations, what game was PC World playing ? And why were they playing it in the first place ? I thought they'd be too busy playing Crysis
i'll buy this game, looks great and EPIC, it's like really playing in a Sci-Fi world/movie
but some gripes:
-aliens look great, people look bad. uncanny valley.
-Horrible, Horrible framerate issues
-resetting the game because you a clipped in to a rock by accident?.. what the ?>??
-sometimes it can take up to 5 seconds for textures to load...
-A.i sometimes just is not there....
-sometimes button presses do not get registrerd
-"in the end you want to do all these side quests".. not if their all the freaking same
so in the end.. this game, however beautifull and great, is Unfinished and broken and should not get higher than a 9... just my 2 cents
Always-Honest
- The people don't look bad at all.
- The framerate issues aren't that bad.
- 10 hours in, I haven't any kind of bug like this.
- Texture loading does take up to 5 seconds when you *load the game* or *restart an area*, otherwise it takes 1 second or doesnt at all.
- A.I has been fine as far as I've seen, there are some A.I issues however when the enemies can;t find suitable cover.
- Button presses always register.
- I've sone about 6 sidequests so far, they can be quite lengthy and none are the same.
How about you play the game instead of spouting off this garbage.
The game looks pretty awesome. It makes me wish I had a 360...
I'm wondering though. How could IGN give it a 9.4 with as many graphical gliches as they mentioned. A substantial part of the review is spent cataloging texture pops and collisiion errors.
It seems that fundamental graphics engine problems should keep it from scoring 9.0 in the graphics department at least.

Erm, the graphics are awesome, and every different locale and planet I visit always leaves me impressed. The pros FAR outweight the cons when it comes to the visuals.
SYDNEY: Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCEA) claims the PlayStation 3 has to date outperformed the Australian rollout of its popular predecessor, the PlayStation 2, reaching the 100,000 unit sales milestone in a shorter time.
Sony announced the achievement to mark the beginning of what it deems the second phase of the PS3's introduction, which will include a $3 million marketing campaign to promote the console ahead of its first Christmas on the market.
The PlayStation 3 has now been available in Australia for nearly eight months, having launched on 23 March this year, but with fierce competition from the Nintendo Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360 games console, the company has looked hard-pressed to replicate the success of the PS2.
However, SCEA believes the combination of a newcut-price 40GB PS3 (RRP $699) and its big-budget marketing campaign promoting the wider benefits of the console for home entertainment, will make it a winner this Christmas.
"Having already enjoyed strong sales to date, with our new 40GB PS3 we have the opportunity to appeal to a much wider audience, with a general interest in digital home entertainment," said SCEA director - marketing, Raoul Bedford, in a statement.
"The second phase of our hardware, software and brand marketing campaign for the PS3 has been created to demonstrate the capabilities of the PS3 to this new audience, who are looking for an extremely advanced, yet incredibly affordable, high definition gaming and entertainment system for their home."
At the heart of Sony's multi-million dollar marketing campaign will be a new television commercial directed by Noam Murro, incorporating unique visual imagery to illustrate 'entertainment like never before' - the TVC's tagline.
Sony highlights Blu-ray, entertainment and processing power in the ad through various scenes.Globally, however, Sony is predicting a pick up in fortunes for the PlayStation 3 this Christmas, with a company spokesperson telling PC World that internal data revealsa 192 per cent pick up in PS3 sales in the past two weeks following price cuts.

Milestone :D Ahaha.
The PS3 is still LIGHT YEARS behind the Wii and the 360 in Australia and it is being marketed in Australia as a Blu-Ray Player....
The most popular chain in Australia has just dropped Blu-Ray exclusivity because of HD-DVD's rising popularity.
