@BeefoTheBold: Id call it great, not amazing. Part of it is that until UC2 fixed the flaws in UC1, no one had really nailed that cinematic action blend as well. Id probably put UC4 on my top 10. And i love UC, but i think i had the most fun with Ratchet and Clank. But then id never played a Ratchet game so it was a completely new game to me.

As someone who just finished FFXV....7% is way too high. Get your head out of your asses, that game is one of the worst ff games. It beat out FFXIII...congrats FFXV you arent the worst final fantasy.

@snake33303: ....not really. I never bothered with a Wii U. But Mario Platformers, Mario Kart, Smash, those are the games that the non nintendo owners look at and wish they could play. My favorite game of all time is the original zelda, but i like online connectivity, i like third party support, i dont get that from nintendo. Ill pick up a switch for zelda (i was going to get a wii u just for zelda, but it never happened). Im not a fanboy of anything really. Ive always been really critical of nintendo. Its a company that seems to march to the beat of their own drum not because they think differently, but because thye want the appearance of thinking differently. there is a lot of pride tied up in Nintendo's decisions. It hurts them too much.

@onionking108: 2 consoles. Theyve done it twice. NES was stronger than anything else when it game out in the US, though the SMS would be stronger, Nintendo had a foothold. The 16 bit war was between TG16, Sega, and Nintendo. The SNES was more powerful than the Genesis, other than the faster co processor on the genesis. n64 lacked cd playback compared to psx and saturn, but it was a stronger system in a lot of ways. GCN while not using DVDs was stronger in a lot of ways than ps2, but at least it was generally comparable. Wii came out and made a splash, but it burned out at the end, attach rates were dismal. The Wii 2 should have been out in 2010, or at least 2011. 2012 was just too late. Nintendo thinks they cant compete....they are wrong. A Nintendo that is as powerful as the others....i think now that gaming is mainstream they dont need to worry about kid appeal. Give me a system that gets Zelda, Kart, Smash, Mario etc AND Red Dead 2, and all the other third parties......nintendo has the quality exclusives.

Stupid. Nintendo should have matched xb1 at least. It would make porting easier. Nintendo games will look dated very quickly. But we ll see, im getting one for zelda so.

@sonypony4eva: Ill give them a B-B+, I enjoyed the hell out of R&C. It was my first R&C (never had a ps2 never bothered on ps3). I beat it at least 3 times. Loved UC4 (probably my second fav in the series) and played the hell out of multiplayer this summer (going to jump back in for survival). Its not exclusive, but Tomb Raider scratched an itch. Not sure how else to rate it, do i not get to count third parties? My ps4 has gotten regular use all year. Battlefront till i picked up the Order (gorgeous game, didnt deserve the hate, short yes, but i enjoyed it), then back to Battlefront, then R&C, then UC4, then Witcher Blood and WIne, then UC4 multi, pretty much all summer, then Deus Ex, then Tombraider, nov was slow, but i was busy with other things, now FFXV....I should be good till Jan at least. Maybe if you chew threw games, but i get a solid amount of gaming in for working 50 plus hours a week, having a gf, enjoying my share of netflix, and NFL.

@caseyrybek: Who said i found it exciting. I didnt buy into the hype. I watched trailers and previews, i read peoples reactions when they saw longer demos. It is exactly what i expected it to be. I didnt buy it because it didnt seem like something I would be into. I dont fall for hype on pretty much anything, game wise. People were pissed about Battlefront...it was exactly what they said it was going to be. They showed what the modes were. I played the beta. Im a big starwars fan, im not a competitve FPS guy, it was casual stupid fanboy service. It scratched that itch for me. I cant think of a game i felt burned by. I preordered UC4, but i trust naughty dog. I preordered R&C, but again Insomniac and R&C are proven entities. I wait and read reviews before I buy anything. I think the bigger issue with No Mans Sky was the hype train. It ran away on that eventually. You re going to explore procedurally generated worlds....but cmon how did no one think this was what it was going to be. I might try it out when it drops to 20bucks, im sure theyll have patched it in by then. So its not to each their own (i mean except in the sense that that always applies). People getting bent out of shape about games being bad....just dont preorder them and wait for reviews to come out. Then watch some gameplay demos and wait. No Mans Sky had a good e3 showing two years ago and people started acting like it was the second coming. I cant think of a game in the past 5 years that has really been a game changer. There have been great ones (Witcher 3 comes to mind, though its hardly the only one) that lived up to the hype. There have been ones that surprised (Doom comes to mind), dissappointed (The Order, though i enjoyed my play through, SFV for the casual)...but plenty of games got hyped up and then trashed (Bioshock Infinite (unwarranted, its not as good as the original, but i loved it). There are so many great games out there, i just never got people getting pissed at a game for being dissappointing.
