You have Lost Planet and the Warhawk Beta but you don't have RE4?
Hahaha.

Scarface sucked on the Xbox and PS2 so I cant believe that score.wooooode
Keep in mind that IGN gave the sucky Scarface on XBox/PS2 an 8.7 (for reference GS gave it something like a 6.4) so this 8.5 Scarface for the Wii is hardly anything to write home about.
And I agree, the original wasn't very good. I have no idea why they dig it so much.
Taken from the IGN review:
Aside from the minor Wii-specific changes, you'll still get the same brutal Scarface package as on the other consoles.
So, yeah... same bad game (except this one came out a year or so late.)
Do HD graphics looks as good on a PC moniter?blizzvalve
A PC monitor is HD, often going up to higher resolutions than HDTV's. Don't be confused by buzzwords, HD is just a resolution ceiling. Anything above 720p or 1080i if you have an interlaced display) is considered HD. The resolutions in between high definition and standard definition (480i)are considered "ED" (enhanced definition.)
The difference is computer monitors tend to be small. The smaller the screen - the harder it is to pick up on increasing resolutions (this is why HDTV's are very large.)
HDTV brings only higher resolutions and better color. Its not like an SDTV keeps the game from showing lighting, shadows, textures, draw distance, etc. HDTV is basically no jaggies and better color. Next-gen games STILL look good on an SDTV regardless of what you think. They just look better on HDTV. Not to mention that its not like SDTV completely changes the gameplay, sound etc.

Actually yes, draw distance and textures are affected by SDTV.
Draw distance only because HDTV tends to be far larger so you can see small objects and details you'd never see on a comparatively small SDTV, and textures because, well, SD doesn't have the resolution to display HD textures.

You also probably play on a tiny screen.
The smaller the screen, the harder it is to pick up on increased resolutions.
You can't compare a tiny computer monitor with an extremely high resolution and a huge 50+ inch HDTV, doesn't work like that.
But what difference does a higher resolution make in terms of gameplay? Is there something I could miss in SD that I'll catch in HD that could make the difference in a game? When I play a game I consider ALL of the elements within it as a whole package - it all contributes to the overall fun factor. When you eat a piece of cake you don't judge the flour, sugar, eggs, and oil separately - you judge it as a whole.
Graphics play a huge role, they ALWAYS have regardless of what some on this forum believe. Video games are a primarily visual medium.
Obviously control, progression, etc. (I suppose all of these would fall under gameplay umbrella) play just as large a role as the graphics... they are all very important. They blend together to form the final product.
I know it's currently chic for Nintendo fanboys (this isn't directed at you, I don't know what system you prefer if any at all) to completely discount graphics because their system can't compete visually with any other on the market (ironic considering just last generation everyone was in awe of the amazing visuals of such games as RE4 and MP, kiss those days goodbye I suppose) but that's foolishness.
Can a game be really fun without great graphics? Of course man, it would be idiocy to think otherwise.
Can superb graphics greatly enhance the game playing experience? Yes, absolutely.
HD and superb graphics greatly enhance the experience, unless you play your games with your eyes shut.
HD makes the games look much better.
And yes, at low resolutions many fine details are completely missing.
Get over it.
But are those fine details critical to the game itself? I know it sounds cheap, but unless you can prove otherwise, it's sorta like the difference between tenderloin and sirloin. Sure, the former is more expensive and higher quality, but for many people, the latter provides more then enough enjoyment for a fraction of the price."Critical to the game itself?" What is"critical" to the game itself, exactly? People throw around "gameplay" as a generic term, but really a game's worth is the sum of its parts - and graphics are an important part. Graphics have the ability to greatly improve a game. Graphics affect one's perception of a game, they affect the gameplay in a way.
Same with tight control, immersive audio, great progression, etc. You can water one down slightly and perhaps still have a good, or sometimes even great, game.... but if they're all tight and soundlyimplemented you'll have the best it could be.
PGR3...GS score 8.8...Gamerankings 86% musacircuit
Also, PGR 3 an8 8.9 on GR.
WHat are you smoking man?
Kameo...GS score 8.7...Gamerankings 81%
PDZ...GS score 9...Gamerankings 82%
PGR3...GS score 8.8...Gamerankings 86%
Basically u change those horrible overrated scores of kameo and pdz and suddenly the 360 launch is MISERABLE as what it was in reality.Only in gamespot reality 360 had a good launch.Come on ppl grow up.This is a forum and u dont have to blindly follow those illogical rules.I CANT BELIEVE THAT CASEY ACTUALLY MADE A THREAD ABOUT IT using gamespot scores to show how good 360's launch. was.Come on it's OK to use as means of ownage but seriously how can u possibly think of starting a serious discusion with that garbage.
RESISTANCE HAS OUTSCORED EVERY 360 EXCLUSIVE AT GAMERANKINGS EXCEPT GEARS.
BUT WAIT THERE ARE ACTUALLY 5 360 EXCLUSIVES THAT OUTSCORE RESISTANCE AT GAMESPOT.THAT IS JUST BEYOND RIDICULOUS.
We really need to change some rules over here if this place is to remain fun.If the majority disagrees with me then this place is probably not for me as ownage is dealt over here on CHANCE rather than accurate predictions and jugements.
NOTE:I HAVE NOT INCLUDED FORZA 2 IN THE DISCUSSION OF THIS THREAD.

GRAW is also a 360 exclusive. The ONLY platform the 360 version of GRAW is on is the360. THE PC version is not ever a third person shooter.
So, I guess there goes your thread.

[QUOTE="Bill_McBlumpkin"]Who cares about some site that's only known by a few fools on System Wars? Honestly, who cares.
I don't even get caring about sales in general.... but taking it so far that you startcaring about a no-name sales estimation site.... that's pretty sad.

It's annoying hearingpeople claim that the Wii is catching up so quickly - 7+ mil to 10 mil
the wii has been selling units while the 360 sells zero
Why does it bother you, do you work PR for Microsoft?
360 isn't going to start getting less great games because of what VG Charts reports or Wii's actual sales. Look at the PS3, its sales are in the gutter and even though it doesn't have the strongest library right now it has some awesome, awesome games on the horizon.
There's enough out there for all three companies to survive and give us the game we want to play, so who cares? Those sorts of System Wars arguments and talking points are all smoke, they have absolutely no impact on anything outside of this forum.
