@jthotty Yup, because there are people out there who actually like the games. Hard to imagine that although you are not interested in something there are people out there who are.

We need a proper sequel to Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 damn it!

The games were enjoyable and their music so memorable. I could say the same about sound effects too. Now the developers have the added benefit of wav yet they are not as memorable unless they are "epic". It just doesn't add up.

I could expand onto, and say the same thing, about graphics. Ultimately it's you and the game having an experience. What's better, real life graphics and orchestral music generating a crappy experience you forget in a few hours, days, weeks, or 8bit graphics with BGM made with a very limited sound-bank generating an awesome experience you remember fondly for the rest of your life?

I guess kids growing up these days that didn't have the chance to experience the NES, SNES, Genisis and N64 when they were all new would probably have a different view of the music and graphics of what is out now to me, but they also can't compare because they didn't have the luxury of experiencing those times.

8 & 16bit gaming on a large CRT TV = bliss. And no.. emulation on an LCD is not even halfway there. In with the old and out with the new ;)

Sounds like Capcom are starting to listen to their fans.

For $15 it sounds like a sweet deal.

Whining gamers have got to learn to stop acting like little bitches on this site. If your not a fan of capcom or their games DON'T click on capcom links and don't buy their games. Simple.

@Jin_Hakazura Interesting thing that I've discovered recently while looking back at the games I grew up loving (NES & SNES days), every one of those games had awesome BGM. You don't get that these days as often as you did back in say late 80's and through the 90's. Say megaman, super mario bros., tetris, castelvania, and you'll remember their songs. Now days its only memorable if it's epic, like Skyrim for instance.

I'd say that was just me but many say they feel the same.

@hardeddie Not to mention you are locking yourself into one platform (ios, android, windows, etc..) for your future handsets OR you will be forfeiting all app purchases.

Damn, so in other words, we shouldn't expect to see a remake anytime soon!

@DrAmazinDood Agreed. Looking back, the most enjoyable moments I've experienced in gaming have somehow all revolved around Nintendo games, with a few PC titles in the mix. I barely remember any Playstation or Xbox game being as memorable as say, the first time getting and playing Super Mario World and Super Mario 64.

They weren't just great games at the time, they were experiences which blew many gamers away. Yet to experience that with a PS or Xbox game.

Why can't they just make a proper Tiberian Sun RTS in a good isometric engine without messing it up.

EA destroyed Westwood

Activision destroyed Blizzard

What the hell?
