You can "teach" any IR command to a Harmony remote. You should already be using one if you have a home theater.

The entire Slimfit line is trash. No the ps3 will not look anywhere near "super" or "awesome". It will look like an inaccurate, problem ridden picture. The latest slimfits do very little better than the originals, and it is a shame that so many of them fly off the shelves due to such low prices. People should know that a "good" picture does not come cheap. If you need to be as frugal as possible, pick up an open-box Sony HDCRT, anything cheaper than that will not be worth it. If you can not gather the $800 or so for the open item, stick to playing on your pc monitor until you can.

Just wanted to state that I calibrated a 40" KDL-40V2500 just the other day, and it is a bargain for the picture it displays. I highly recommend the set if you are looking for something in the 40" range.

So Im looking for a new HD for my PS3.... I kinda like this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889102045

I think its pretty good for the price. Any opinions?

West-Coast-G
Its probably the least accurate LCD made, check out the problems with DNie in the avsforums if you need to be convinced.

Yeah, for sure. Just ask to get a HDDVD or blu ray player hooked up to the set and calibrate it some to see how the set really performs.

The XBR2 and XBR3 are the same set with different coloring and they are the best LCD money can currently buy.

TVs with HDMI in usually have optical out. The PS3 also has its own optical out so you could connect either to your receiver.
