That is an AWFUL TV, avoid it at all cost. If you did ANY research before asking that question, you would have known how bad that sets reputation is. The ONLY HD CRT worth buying is any set from Sony's line, the rest are very, very bad.

First off, you might have some nasty stretching problems with the resolution you want to display since it is not 720p or 1080i... however it will show up on the screen. For sound, you may need to use the audio cables that come in the box, standard left right stereo, and plug them into the subwoofer input. You could then set the settings so sound is sent through the stereo jacks, and video through HDMI. Not a very optimal set up at all, but it would work. It might be a good idea for you to update to a receiver/speaker combo to at least take advantage of the great sound that will come on BD movies and PS3 games.

go to a store and check for yourself. There is quite a difference between a crappy HDTV and a decent one as well.

Just trying to prevent others from making the same mistake. Hopefully people will at least try looking for detail in dark and light scenes when buying a new tv by bringing a reference DVD to play through the set among other tests that should be run.

That is dynamic contrast which means absolutely nothing, and that is by far the worst "high-end" LCD from last year due to undefeatable DNie processing.

Yes the difference between HDMI and Component cables in picture quality is negligible. Some sets display HDMI input better, and others display component better. Both signals have equal picture quality with all other factors equal.

People love their unrealistic pictures on the LNS series. Not worth their weight in plastic to anyone which a discerning eye for good television.

I have a DVI output on my HDTV, but not an HMI output. I will buy a DVI to HDMI converter, and then an HDMI cable to hook my PS3 to the converter. Will I have sound at all? I have heard mixed answers to this questions, and am a bit confused. Thanks.JoStAd6906
There is an optical out on the system, just plug that into your receiver.

The fact that its cheap, with that bad of a response time, it should be fairly obvious. But honestly, what can you expect when you are going to be cheap on a television?

You want sub 12ms in general, but anything a manufacturer says can only be taken at face value. You have to go test games yourself to get a real feel for a specific set's response time.
