@90wushuman: Not liking the progression system doesn't excuse quitting mid-game. Those two things don't even correlate in the slightest. I'm not particularly a fan of the "loot box" style of unlocks but it doesn't make sense to say, "Well, if the progression didn't suck, I wouldn't quit mid-game."

@xpertmom: You're missing my point. Of course you have the right to quit and in certain circumstances, it's justified, provided the servers aren't set up to fill in open slots. But that's not the discussion. The discussion is those that quit and ruin it for the rest of the players, regardless of what team they're on. If you feel like the map is bad and you're spawn locked then complain to the devs and if enough people feel that way, they'll eventually rebalance if they want to retain their player base. If you're just bad at the game or don't like the way it started for you and you quit, then you deserve to be punished.

@90wushuman: It doesn't matter if you paid for the game. You pay to go to sporting events but you still have to follow rules. Paying doesn't entitle you to ruin the experience for others. Suspension keeps those people from playing. It's pretty simple. They'll either get tired of being suspended so they'll stop quitting or they'll just stay suspended. Keeps the game enjoyable for the others that paid and are capable of following the rules.

@Keitha313: I see your point, but it directly affects other players' enjoyment of the game. The penalty should be a minimum of getting a loss and losing any gained XP for the round. Repeat offenders need to be met with temporary bans from online matchmaking, just as they would if you were a toxic player. After all, it's a team based multiplayer game and if you're not capable of following even the simplest of rules, then you shouldn't be allowed to ruin the game for others. It doesn't matter how much you paid for the game.

@whatsazerg: Are you shitting me? There's no way you watched that video where they talked about switching to character based MP and explained the differences between them. They explain the change-up in pacing all while showing off MP gameplay.

@derceto: Civ has never been about graphics. The strategy and layout always take the front seat. I still like the new art style, regardless. Things like the buildings have more detail and the colors pop. I honestly don't know why you're complaining but to each their own, I suppose. I'll be playing and enjoying this while you're bitching about the graphics.

@rogerjak: Conservative here. Nope. This is actually a completely non-political subject to begin with so I don't know why it's being discussed as such.

The price hike is only by $2/month. It's not a ridiculous increase. With the constant rollout of original content (most of which I enjoy thoroughly), I'm okay with a small price hike. At least they had the decency to tell you two years ago that your price would increase. Hell, it's still cheaper and better to just get commercial free Hulu and Netflix instead of cable.

I'm pretty sure the hovering ghoul in the first gif is just Papa Emeritus III.
