They spent so long trying to get CryEngine to work the way they wanted, even hiring help from the engine developers.. and now all this time later, after all this development, they suddenly switch engines?
That no doubt cut huge amounts of time out of development of the game (features).. sure hope it's a much better solution in the end. Could always tell there were issues due to the CryEngine, so if a switch makes them not a problem anymore, I'm all for it.
Sure hope it does have modern technology support.. and properly supports 21:9 aspect ratios.. CryEngine had great support for a number of things, so I'm a bit fearful of a switch to an engine I've never heard of before as an enthusiast using 'niche' tech.
