Podcast Problems!

Just letting you guys know that I am not going to be in the upcoming podcast much since I was for some reason drowned out and that Tony who was recording it could barely hear me and hence when the time comes, you won't be able to hear me very well at all.

But tune in nonetheless because its going to be great without my input.

Darro's Blog once again!

[video=ICA7kTar5b4IujHb]

Hello once again, Gamepot Land!  Before you say anything, I totally forgot to change the date in the video blog so it says 28/4/07, which we all know is 2 weeks ago but other than that, just the same old stuff included.  I talk about the podcast I am apart of (anyone whose anyone should know of it by now), the Halo 3 beta and games played, bought and questions answered!

Enjoy and ROCK ON!!

BTW, Jumpin' Jack Flash in Elite Beat Agents is now my sworn enemy.

[video=IXA6njL_5b4PvT_e]

Hello fellow Gamespotters.  Darro here with another Darro's Blog for the small group of people who watch my blogs each time I do that and once again I thank you.

So RRW is done and in this blog, I talk a bit about the past week as well as some of the new games I have in my collection and what my thoughts are and also, answer some questions like next games I'll be buying etc.

So watch and enjoy! Until next time, keep on gaming and ROCK ON!!

RRW Final Day

[video=IHU0njD-5b4PvjDW]

Well sadly it is the last day of Retro Revival Week but it was quite fun while it lasted.  I played some old games that were new to me, played some retro games that were old to me and so on.  But anyway, for the final day, I am leaving you with this video of the board game part (Grunty's Furnace Fun) in Banjo-Kazooie, a classic Rare platformer for the N64.  You will find about this part inside so look and see.

Until next RRW, keep on retro gaming and RETRO ON!!

No Castlevania for now!

Hey guys.  Sorry to say that the Super Castlevania IV runthrough video won't be done today and not sure when.  The reason this time is because I was recording it through the webcam since I cant get it to work completely fine with the Gamebridge and was doing quite well until the game decided to crash/freeze on me during the 6th stage and even though I love the game, I just can't be bothered playing it again and it might happen again if I did.  I can always get it on the Wii VC but I don't wanna waste 800 points on a game I already own.

Sorry about that guys but the Banjo Kazooie vid will definitely be up later and I will be doing Darro's Blog tomorrow so stay tuned for that. The Super CVIV vid will be done I promise sometime over the next month or so. So until then, keep on gaming and RETRO ON!!

RRW Update

This is just a little update saying that the SCIV video will not be done today as I rather do videos eariy in the afternoon rather than later hence why it is not up.  I hopefully will have it up for you guys along with Banjo Kazooie Board game part tomorrow so stay tuned.

Plan for RRW Day 5

Hello, I had planned another video today for you guys but thanks to the last part of the game getting the better of me, that plan went to kaput. What was I going to do?, you may be asking.

Well, I had a speed run or just basically a playthrough video of Super Castlevania IV for the Super Nintendo planned for the video today and I was doing quite well in it, as I was on the last stage and only died a few times and just all of a sudden I just screwed up in Stage B-2 (people who have played the game will know what that part is). The thing is, I've never had a big problem with that part before, heck I think other parts in previous stages were more difficult and did them with ease. It was after that that annoyed me back in the day for basically lost like 7 or so lives in that stage alone and just said screw it. I spent an hour playing the game and was near the end and just screwed up and I was aggravated about that.

So there is no video coming your way today but I will try it again tomorrow and hopefully I will do better enough to complete the game and show the video. The Banjo Kazooie video will be coming sometime Saturday for you so stay tuned for that.

In other news, played more of Chrono Trigger and really liking this game the more I play it. I like how the battle system works and the tech moves are pretty cool and help you very much during some battles. I am outside Guardia castle after beating the first boss, which ain't far into the game but will be playing more of this once RRW is.

On another note, I kind of not happy on what score Mystical Ninja on the Wii VC got from Gamespot.  It deserved more than a 6.6.  If it were in the 7s, I wouldn't have this problem but 6.6? This game is one of the best SNES games I have played and just think it deserved a better score than that but hey that is just my thought on it and I am sure other people have the same thoughts too. Well the review said the main problem was with the village areas and although it can get kind of tedious, I still like them and I like the mini-games also. Its just my taste anyway but should have got at least a 7.

That is all I need to say so until then, keep on gaming and RETRO ON!!

Retro Revival Week Day 4: Killing Crypts not so good!

[video=IH07kDX_5b4PuDfZ]

Hi de Hi, Gamespotters.  Darrogamer06 here once again for my day four of Retro Revival Week and it is somewhat different from the other videos and information.

I have been talking about great games and playing them but this time, I am showing you a BAD game yet I like it hence it is a guilty pleasure game of mine.  It is an on-rails shooter known as Crypt Killer and watch this video if you dare since the game is pretty bad indeed.  Graphics suck, sound sucks, gameplay crap but yet I like it.

In other news, I played Chrono Trigger for an hour or so last night and I am liking what I've played thus far but will give you a more detailed impression with the game in my next Darro's Blog. Also, playing Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger has me in this sort of wanting to play old-school RPGs mood and I am sure there are great ones out there besides these two.  I have all the FF games now except for 3 but that will be mine come this weekend and 11 because 11 sucks. So can you guys out there recommend any good old-school RPGs for the SNES/PSX/Sega Mega Drive and why they are great.  It will be appreciated to hear from you guys about this.

Anyway, all I have to say for now.  Look for another video tomorrow and the Banjo Kazooie video will possibly be up on Friday or Saturday at the latest so stay tuned.  Until then, keep on gaming and RETRO ON!!
