This constitutes as an interesting article because whether you personally care bout him or not, the dude won American Idol. He's a celebrity. Hearing about celebrities partaking in this wonderful video game hobby or ours is interesting. I was both amused and interested to read about Hicks' involvement with Super Smash Bros. Melee. I am not sorry I read the article.
This game really is a huge disappointment. A stylish grindhouse era biker theme game would have been A+ in my book, so long as it was functional. The best thing in the game is the artwork during the loading screen. Major failage.
I know the game was in development hell for some time, but based on the end result, Deep Silver should be ashamed to let such a product out onto the shelves.
I found the "survival" aspect a bit underwhelming in a lot of respects, mostly due to the fact that running over zombie mobs in a car is the most effective way to fight them. Still, you can't go wrong paying the asking price for this game, as it's sheer ambition almost completely eclipses it's shortcomings. Engaging, a lot of fun, and a hell of a lot of heart.
1: An 8 is a really good score. Especially for a third person post apocalyptic zombie shooter.
2: You people are crying foul when I'm pretty certain 99% of you haven't played it yet. "How could this get an 8? That score is WAY to low for (again) A POST APOCALYPTIC ZOMBIE SHOOT FEST by the people who made UNCHARTED!!!!!!!"
3: All those people who gave it a 10 out of 10? They're wrong. The closest thing to video game perfection you will ever play is fucking Tetris.
