@chrisangelo2k7 I disagree with the review personally as well, and am enjoying RE6 quite a bit myself, but in regards to the reviewer not being able to hang with the difficulty: The same reviewer gave Dark Souls an almost perfect score. If the difficulty of Dark Souls didn't reflect upon his thoughts on that game, I don't think such is the case with RE6.

Just saying.

I always take reviews with a grain of salt, but after picking up RE6 last night and playing to chapter 3 in Leon's campaign, I'm honestly not seeing anywhere near the amount of ire inducing situations that this dude makes mention of in the review, and the he states plague the game hardcore throughout.

I was pretty OK with part 5, and I think the co-op feature added a lot to the game, so maybe I needed to be heavily disappointed with that one as well to have the disdain carry over to part 6.

Anyways, if any of you who read this are on the fence based on this guy's review, I'm liking part 6 a lot, and this is coming from someone who bought the first RE in the long Playstation box, and has been a consumer and fan of the games since,so yeah.

I have no overall opinion on RE 6 as a whole, because I've yet to play it, but as a big fan of the series collectively, I'll wholeheartedly admit that the Ace Combat sequence sounds like ass. Regardless though, it's pretty much a fact that the series had to evolve (Part 4).

I'm not in disagreement that Capcom should see about bringing the series "back to it's roots" in some respects, but some of you are talking about the return of tank controls and pre-rendered backgrounds which is really just ridiculous.

I still find it hilarious that a game about punching trees for hours on end has elevated this man's ego to such a level.

@IceJester45 @Uesugi-dono Right, because a decent amount of others enjoy a game series that you don't, they must be the unfortunate victims of "questionable taste". I concur with a lot of the scores you've given other games on your profile, and regardless of whether or not I agree with your particular opinion of Way of The Samurai collectively, your comment makes you sound like a pompous toolbox.

Well it sounds like more of "game" then XII and XII-2, which is a giant step in the right direction in my opinion, so I'll stay optimistic. Terrible name though "LIGHTNING RETURNS"...just corny and lame.

While I can't dismiss that it's a nice collector's piece for sure, only Squaresoft would have the balls and ego required to release such a thing. Another fine example that repackaging nostalgia and selling it as if it was new seems to be all the company is really capable anymore.

I recently noticed a few of the oddball PSP games I bought digitally can be transferred onto the Vita now, (Valhalla Knights 2: Battle Stance, Capcom Arcade Reloaded, etc.) when I didn't have the option to download them onto it when I first got it.

This is like the fifth article Gamespot has posted about EA's "predictions" in regards to physical media. Once was enough. We raged and we hated EA a little more than we already do, because the whole opinion just seems douchey across the board.

If EA wants to add any after thoughts to this BS, they should post it on their facebook page. In other words, STFU.

I've put about 4 hours into the game yesterday, and while I agree the combat is shallow, it is FUN, which I think is more important. The game basically takes a big cue from the in house Vannilaware games if anyone is familiar with them (Odin Sphere, Muramasa, Princess Crown); and there is lots of Metroidvania exploration.

The voice acting is a bit goofy, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's bad given the direction the game goes with, and the visuals, particularly the animation on the main character are really great (Symphony of The Night). I don't care for the "Deviant Art / Hobby Artist" quality of the character portraits, but thats a minor gripe. PLAY THE DEMO. I'm pretty sure more gamers are going to find this game fun and interesting if they give it a chance.
