Madness

Seeing it's been a while since my last blog, and I still haven't found anything remotely interesting to blog about, I thought I would do something I am great at; rant about random things. :D

What's wrong with the world, seriously? Are people going straight towards insanity? Here are 5 random things to prove my theory, that people are nuts and soon we'll all be doomed.

1. I was just wiki surfing when I came across this. Avoid his mistake and learn from this. Human being should not, and I repeat not, engage in a sexual relationship with an animal. The creepy fact that people actually do this scares the crap out of me! Not to mention the poor animals (I'll get to that later). You can seriously damage your health and the injuries could eventually lead to death. Just ask Kenneth Pinyan. :?

2. People have no respect what so ever. Nothing bad ever happens to Sweden, or so I would like to think, but just about a week ago, a little 10-year old girl was abducted on her way home from soccer practice. The police have multiple leads and they have arrested a 42-year old man, but he denies being involved, and she is still missing. The police say they are optimistic about finding her, but everyone knows she is most likely to be dead. It seems like yesterday when you could turn on the news without a something like this popping up. Or is it just me?

3. A Swedish journalist recently caused an awakening for lots of politicians in the world when he published a story in a local newspaper. He wrote that a municipality in Sweden welcomed more immigrants than the U.S and Canada together. Many people immigrate to Sweden because it's easier to get a green card here than in most places in the world. When people heard about this they refused to believe it, but the story checked out. I of all people am not the right person to lecture about prejudice, but if everybody tried just a little harder not to judge others, this wouldn't be a problem. Whatever happened to just helping people out?

4. Because of Boo's last blog I'm going to include animal abuse, it's sickening! How could you possibly do that to a helpless animal? They have no other choice then to put their trust in you, and this is how some people repay them!? Disgusting! Arg, I'm getting so mad writing this. Think I'm going to stop now.

5. And last of all, stupidity. If this wasn't enough, people are stupid. Not even criminals can cover their tracks anymore, literally. Is this stupid or what? Have I missed a world wide brain vacuuming or something? If this thief is not stupid enough to cause concern, then what's coming next?

Ok, my rant is over. Nothing to comment on really... But I just hope that I'm not the only one feeling that the world is getting dumber, less caring or just plain evil!:(

Sweden - The big little country

Because of the nice response to my previous blog, I have decided to keep the writing up. This time it's not just gonna be an awefully long text, but some pictures too! As I said in my last blog, I live in Sweden. Sweden is a quite big country but despite that, it's hardly noticed by the rest of the world :(

map of the world

Sorry, it's pretty large... But lookie, it contains the time zones and all!:P

I live in the capital, Stockholm; I marked it for you with a red dot. Even though I wish I could travel more and see the world, I love it here. I'm most fond of the lovely forests, which unlike in most capitals are still here. I'm very proud to say that even though I live in the capital and biggest city in the country, I still am very close to just take a walk in a considerably undisturbed forest. However, sometimes I think about moving to a smaller city when I grow up, perhaps up north, but then I think about my future career that would suffer great damage if I did. There aren't many jobs up there and I don't know if it's worth it. My mother comes from up there, but moved down here to pursue her career as a psychologist. I want to be a doctor when I grow up, and I wouldn't be able to get the same education and job I need if I lived there. It sucks, but since my mother's family live up there, I travel there a lot... And I could always buy a little cabin in the middle of nowhere to go to when I feel overwhelmed by the city. I love it up there, it's so peaceful!

This is a picture of Stockholm. The tower in the middle with the three crowns is the Stockholm city hall. I will see if I can find another bigger picture of it later. Really liked this pic!sthlm

This is the city, The heart of Sweden, really. It's really pretty but it's so loud, crowded (not in the pic, though. Weird:?) and full of bad air, so I don't go there so often. city

This building is called the globe. It's not situated far from where I live, actually. Things like Sport events and concerts take place here. They light it up like this during the evening, often with different colours too. When it's christmas they put a christmas tree on the top. It lights up really beautiful and can be seen from a very far distant.

Ah, here it is. Behold, the Stockholm city hall!

...Funfacts time! The Stockholm city hall was made out of 8 000 000 bricks and was desined by a guy named Ragnar Östberg. Inside are lots of rooms. One of them being the famous blue hall (pic later) The annual Nobel Prize Dinner takes place right there. The dinner is attended by many important people, among them the royal family and of course the Nobel Prize winners. The blue hall is not actually blue, Östberg itended it to be, but he liked the red colour better so he decided to let it be. Innit Beatiful? And here, a pic from the dinner.

Wow, it's almost only pictures taken at night... Meh. Who cares, they were pretty!:P You like them? You liked my blog? Comment me! Please!

The world in my perspective

All right. Can't believe I'm doing this. Never been the diary or blog person, but this just felt right. I'm new to this, so please, don't hate me or chase me down with a knife...

What do you write in a blog? You guys are such naturals! Maybe I should begin by telling you a little about myself. Well, I am a 15-year-old girl from a country in northern Europe called Sweden. I was born in the capital, Stockholm, and I still live there. My parents are divorced, but I'm not sad they separated. I'm happy they did. They get along better now then they ever did before and we can still hang out and have fun the whole family. I have two siblings, a little sister who is 13 and a little brother who is 7. I'm a very private and independent person, and I have great difficulties getting close with people. I'm a loner, I'm fine with that. But I do have two really close friends that I highly treasure.:) They know me better then anyone, probably even my parents. That's usually the case, I get along great with everyone on a certain basis, but I let extremely few people in. I push people away. I enjoy being alone, to go several days straight without talking to a soul is amazing. I love reading, and read almost everything. I love imagining somewhere and something else then the real world, which I think is the reason I love watching TV and read. After a while all the problems, duties and stress disappear. Their world is yours and yours is theirs, and everything revolves around you, together. This is the feeling I'm looking for in a show or book. As weird as it sounds, I like learning new, random and often totally useless facts. This is why I also read books like Guinness world of records, dictionaries and atlas's. It's sort of a hobby of mine.:D I play soccer and I have been since I was about 10. Despite that, I suck. In fact, my whole team suck, but that's not why I play. We have so much fun together, that's why I keep showing up for practice.

Phobias? I got them. I am deadly afraid of needles, and had to get drugged up with laughing gas when taking the obligatory shots. Bugs, even though I'm very curious about them, Jack Nicholson, drunk people and people scraping their tongue. I know that last one sounds weird and well, it is. :lol:My dad has always teased me about thinking everything is gross all the time, so he decided to scrape his tongue in front of me because I always wanted to puke when I saw someone do it. He did it, I screamed, he chased after me, I cried etc. etc... :roll:I don't want my dad to come off as some kind of fruitcake here, but it has always been like this. He's got a severe case of ADHD and even though he sometimes acts weird, disgusting, annoying and different we have a lot of fun and I love him to bits. It makes him who he is, and his not always like that y'know!

Now you know a bit more about me, maybe a little too much?:P And what patience you have if you read it all! But, please, post me a comment! Just sneak a peak and come say hi, okay? It'll mean a lot to a newbie!:)
