I just want to echo agrippi's sentiments - when I first turned on my DS Lite after upgrading I was amazed at the brightness, it's much more impressive than the original DS model and shows of the quality of the titles much better.

I recently played on a friends DS, which is the original model, and was actually amazed at how much duller it was! It is a significant difference I assure you, especially if you're used to the DS lite like I am now.

Also, I think the DS lite is just miles better than the original in terms of design. I remember pulling the Lite out of its packaging and just being amazed at how much more sleek and compact it was. Again, going back to the original DS model was quite shocking how bulky and ugly it was.

DS Lite all the way, by a long shot!

Well I bought a Wii first and foremost because I also own a DS and love the quality of different, innovative experiences the DS offers and it looks as though the Wii is going to follow suit (when its better games finally start getting released).

However, I did want to one powerhouse console which will really be next-gen technically, and always wanted to wait for the PS3. Xbox 360 has a large fanbase but I think it'll fizzle out when the PS3 comes down in price and the games really become noticably better. Xbox 360 IMO just wasn't going to be able to cut it in a couple of years when the PS3 looks like it's gonna really hit its stride.

Blu-Ray helped as well! :)

I've just finished my Twilight Princess review which I have been writing, which I have just posted up as well, so you may wish to take a look. It's my longest review yet, and I'm pretty pleased with it:

Hate to jump on the self-promotion bandwagon but I would like to recommend myself for consideration. I'm fairly new to the site in terms of registering and posting reviews etc. (though I have been visiting the site for years).

I always try and produce reviews that are considerable in length and detail, with hopefully a high quality of writing and analysis. I don't have many reviews up at all at the moment (only four in total) but hopefully they are indicative of a good quality of writing and game reviewing. Please check them out and see what you think:

My Tomb Raider Anniversary review (8.6):

http://uk.gamespot.com/ps2/adventure/tombraider10thanniversaryedition/player_review.html?id=466507

My Final Fantasy 12 review (9.6):

http://uk.gamespot.com/ps2/rpg/finalfantasy12/player_review.html?id=460967

My God of War 2 review (9.1):

http://uk.gamespot.com/ps2/action/godofwar2/player_review.html?id=453026

My Shadow of the Colossus review (9.6):

http://uk.gamespot.com/ps2/adventure/wandaandthecolossus/player_review.html?id=448940

You'll notice that all four of these have pretty high scores, but it's because I've got quite a few games in my collection and prefer to start by reviewing some fairly recent games that I particularly enjoyed. I'm fairly generous with my reviewing, but never to the point of taking it too far - I can't think of a single game that I would ever give a full '10' to - nor am I likely to do so bar something really amazing and exceptional being released.

Given the good sales of FF12 on the PS2 and the fact that the DS is the best-selling console out of all including non-handheld, I think Square wouldn't dreaming of not releasing in the US and Europe.

It'll just be a matter of time.

Well seeing as FFX is the superior game in every aspect, I recommend you play it first not only for story reasons. Seriously, if you play through FFX then play FFX-2 I think you'll see what I mean. Not that FFX-2 is appalling, it just isn't up to the standards of FFX.

Mario Kart is uber easy to get online and play with once you've set your connection up - you don't even need any friends codes if you dont mind who you play against it will automatically search the world if necessary for people currently willing to play and pit you against them.

Animal crossing really only works with friends codes, but they are easy to get, just have a look around the net and on these very forums. :)
