Well in my local area, finding Gamecube games full stop last year became nearly impossible, but since the release and major success of the Wii, I've noticed even GAME stores have began stocking them again, and although most are pre-owned, nonetheless it is nice to see them back on the shelves and available.

... of this console war.

With recent announcements that the costs of the PS3 are being 'refined', I wouldn't be shocked to heara price cut at E3, which is kind of sucky because I only bought mine last month, but I would be happy as there's no doubting it would reallyopen the PS3to more people, but would inevitablyfan the flames of this console war and spell trouble for Microsoft.

There's no doubting there's little than can harm Nintendo and the Wii at the moment, but 360 sales are slowing down in terms of hardware and software, as PS3 sales continue to rise, and there's the added known ingredients of the power of the Sony and Playstation brand, the upcoming Home and Little Big Planet which have really captured the acclaim of critics and the public alike.

Does Microsoft *really* have what it takes to take on the PS3 as it grows? At the moment there's no doubting the 360 has the strongest line-up of games, but has it really got enough more to give to tackle the rising potential of the PS3?

Please don't take this post as an Xbox 360 bashing, although I don't own one I have daily access to one and have a strong admiration for the console as a videogames platform and how brilliant a service Xbox live is continuing to be. However, I am concerned how much longer it is going to last in this generation wars, I really only give it 2 years, possibly 3, before PS3 claims dominance.

Not too sure if they fit exactly what you're looking for, but Final Fantasy X and XII are both superb RPG titles, with XII in particular being the clear standout.

I'd go for:

- Resident Evil 4

- Metal Gear Solid 3

- Final Fantasy 12

- Shadow of the Colossus

- Okami

- God of War 2

- Jak 3

Definitely anniversary, it's a more rounded and complete game. Legend, in comparison, feels a bit too much like juggling some classic tomb raider levels with a lot of action in-betweeners and at times gimmicky boss fights.

New Super Mario Bros. - play with it for a while and you'll find yourself addicted!

Invest in the DS games-wise, it has a much more impressive portfolio of games than the PSP.

Tough poll!

Whilst of course I would love to get more info on Resi 5, I opted for new title announcements, just for the excitement of it, and expanding the PS3's portfolio of games.

Buuuuttt... I would love to hear a rumble SIXAXIS announcement and price cut announcements.

Software and Hardware updates also muchos exciting.

I'm so indecisive haha, but then again I'm really looking forward to the majority of PS3 announcements this E3, just hope and pray it gets even more people buying the console, it really deserves it!

[QUOTE="lowryderman"]A lot God of War is one of the greatest PS2 games around. I have God of War 2. I have played the story mode over 6 different times its that great.blackhorsemen

holy crap bro , the thing is that I wanna buy play those games but I dont know if its a good idea to buy a ps2 for those games , the ps2 costs around 180 dollars in my country , the ps2 is about to die , so I DONT KNOW!!!!

Well I'll echo other peoples sentiments, even at the price it is in your country, the PS2 is a brilliant gaming investment, in fact, aside from maybe the DS, it's the best gaming investment available, even in comparison to the Wii, XBox 360 and PS3.

If you're going to buy the PS2 just for God of War then you might be a little disappointed, they are both brilliant ,incredibly accomplished titles but they might not fully blow you away as the reason you bought the console.

Still, saying that, the PS2 is, simply put, the most successful console ever and has the biggest portfolio of games ever. That's not fanboy ramble, it's undisputed fact, and the facts state that PS2 is just highly recommendable. Even if God of War doesn't blow you away (but I'll be darned if it doesn't at least impress), then you'll have opened yourself up to a brilliant portfolio of gaming experiences just by buying the PS2 - you will be able to get the likes ofIco, Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 4 (unless you've got it on Wii/Gamecube), Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Final Fantasy 12, the Devil May Cry and Jak series and much, much, muuuuch more. Trust me, it is well worth the money if you are even a semi-serious gamer! :)

Im really confused.

Super Mario 64 is not that detailed compared to Zelda OoT, isn't it?

I mean Zelda OoT is too big and too detailed.

The new zelda in DS is just like the style of GBA zeldas. Which is not not 3rd person view.

True, but Wind Waker's 3D engine is much more sophisticated than Ocarina's. They wanted to keep Wind Waker's visual design, so they had to make the dungeon areas 2D. They kept the ocean bits 3D though :)
