If people read something often, they tend to believe it, even when it's not true.  People saying Gears is the only good game on the 360 are spending way too much time on these forums.  If you look even a little you'd find more than enough compelling content on the 360 to please you.  I personally own over 30 games, only one of which I ended up regretting.

I have some simple advice for you, leave these forums and spend some quality time with your gaming system of choice.  Be a gamer first and a fanyboy never.

Sony and MS both started working on their next consoles before the PS3 and 360 were even on the market.  It's just how the industry works.  Intel is working on new chip designs and projecting/mapping changes out at least through the next 10 years.  All hardware is like that.

It's not just price that's keeping people away right now.  It's a lack of compelling content.  Sure there are some good games in there, but if you already have a 360, you've already played them.

E.T. I knewer play it but it should be interesting to play the game that was responsible for the video game crash in the early 80s

Rip870

I DID actually play the game.  It wasn't really a game though.  You just moved E.T. from one very poorly made screen to another and avoided the bad guys.  There was no point the the game at all.  it was hard to look at (flashing terrible graphics), and crashed constantly.  There was no game to the game.  No middle, no end, and no story except for what you remembered from the movie or made up yourself.  It wasn't even fun to move E.T. around.

Your analysis is flawed.  It's not just casuals that are buying Wii systems.  Further, Nintendo is selling plenty of games as well.  The Wii is here to stay.  I know you don't take it seriously, but you are in the minority.  I remember the original NES had a similar run with casuals.  I knew tons of people who could have been considered casuals that bought the thing to play Duck Hunt.  That lame game got people on board and once that happened, they bought better games.

[QUOTE="Godslay"][QUOTE="Sully28"]

lol you do realize the 360 didnt have a killer game untill gears right?

TrueReligion_

What about Oblivion, GRAW, Fight Night Round 3, or Geometry Wars ?

None of those games are exclusive, so they cannot be considered a killer-app.

PC vs. console isn't relevant when you are comparing PS3 to 360.  So, at the time they were exclusive.

[QUOTE="shadow8585"]Not to mention Gears of War and Halo 3 are a lot bigger than what Sony and Nintendo are putting out and when you add in Mass Effect, Bioshock, Fable 2, Resident Evil 5, GTA IV, Assassin's Creed, Blue Dragon, Oblivion, PGR4 and others, you have a winning system IMOpeacebringer
like i said a whole ltta waiting. what about now? or next month. after those games come out expect another drout like this where your waiting 8 months for an AAA

Fanboy alert.  Come on, you can't be serious.  What would you have to wait for?  If you don't already own a 360 (and you said you don't), then there's tons to keep you busy right now.  You don't have to wait for anything.  I've been playing my 360 like crazy since launch and I haven't run out of things to play.  I'm thinking you aren't at all sincere about considering purchasing a 360 and this post was just a way to try to point attention to a 360 dry spell, when the truth of the matter is the industry in general is slow this time EACH year.

Your main concern seems to be the games, and that nothing is releasing that you like.  You just haven't been watching that closely then.  I bet there are a dozen games at least already out that would be worth the purchase for you.  I'm not saying there are 12 good games, just that there has to be at least 12 that would interest you if you gave them a serious look.  The 360 has been out long enough and with enough compelling content that it would take you far more than next six months to a year to catch up.  So if you are worried about what's coming in the next couple of months, that's a bit silly.  There's plenty to keep you busy until Mass Effect, Assassin's creed, GTA, Halo 3, etc. come out.
