I actually agree, but the thing is, Consumers want it..the shooters, the PC addition etc, otherwise it wouldn't be doing good so far. I more so agree on shooters, sick of them, i want more games like MGS4, uncharted, Dead Space, while they are shooters..they arn't mindless or full ones, More horror, puzzles, discovery types a mix, etc. The WW2 shooters, Halo, Gears are being done to death and it gets a little stale after awhile, I love gears for example, but thats just the online part of it, the story i could care less, for obvious reasons.

Sony does seem more focuses on keeping up, but they are throwing some great games out there that sets them self apart, etc. There is no doubt that if MS didn't realease xbox orginally, the PS3 wouldn't have been AS bloated, imo. but thats competition for ya.

Some of the best character models/graphics. Not really no. Models dont make the game. (didn't say it did, but presentation helps and adds to review scores)

Unmatched story telling and cinamtatic experience. Cheesefest, B movie like. (sorry, thats gears of war..now i definetly know you haven't played it, lol)

Some of the best boss battles. Meh,not really.They're well thought out though ( yes really)

Some of the best developed characters. Agreed.

Best Stealth elements. Nooooooooooooo, its more action nowadays. Splinter Cell has stealth down to a fine art. (no it doesn't, MGS4 has more addtions to gameplay for a much better stealth experience, don't confuse animations)

Every GAME has jaggies, A.I problems, glitches...lol. Gears of War, anyone? (gears has jaggies and low rez textures in some areas, A.I isn't smarter because it shoots a lot, lol)

Yea to bad nobody gives a crap resistance 2 will never be brodcasted on the news or have thousands on thousands of fans wating for the game to come out. I love halo, but thanks to MS marketing, they over do it and try and get the world to notice it, this is when HYPE comes and a lot get dissapointed with it. Halo 3 was good, but could have been MUCH better. A game doesn't need to have marketing to that level to be good, lol.

i have to agree with you, though.

you have to look at it from another perspective, compared to many games, MGS4 is a league of its own, story-wise, character-wise, etc.

No other game matches its level of story telling, atleast IMO and many others, its like a actual MOVIE, its deep and thrilling, expecially if your a fan. Add that with awesome boss battles, some of the best character detail/graphics, stealth gameplay and an online system, while NOT perfect, but WORKS. its the whole package.

everyones opinion differs, but the reviews back it up. GS gave it a 10, but it wasn't the only place, IGN was willing to give it a 11. You just have to be a fan to really appreciate it. IMO.
