My friends and I have a running joke about that, from my Wrath of Heaven days.

I don't have a Wii because my workplace hasn't called me in for a shift in weeks (ie. lack of cash), I'm still playing through my PS2 collection, and there aren't enough games that interest me out just yet.

I don't have a 360 because I play games for long periods at a time, leaving my console on while I go out, etc, and it just isn't a machine you can do that with reliably. Plus most of the games I'd want for it are/will be on PC anyway, at a lower price ($100 AU for 1st party, $110-120 for 3rd party. No thanks.). I also feel that if MS wins this generation, they'll start taking liberties and milk us all to high heaven.

Well, I guess the definitions described make me a 'true hardcore' gamer. I love all sorts of games across varying genres, target audiences and platforms, and don't hate any of the consoles apart from undeniably awful ones like the CD-i and Jaguar.
