On a side note, the last boss is a flat-out joke though :P

I personally think that Total Carnage for SNES beats both of them hands-down, if we're comparing cross-genre.

Valken. A PS2 remake of an awesome (at the time) SNES game (known as Cybernator in the US, Assault Suits Valken in Japan), that somehow managed to be inferior to the original. And all the 'new' dialogue and story is just the stuff from the Japanese version, except translated badly. I was hoping it'd be a sequel, how wrong I was..... 

Devil May Cry 2. It really ticked me off. I bought that piece of crap too, and sold it back to EBgames for 10% of the price. That made me even more angry. :( I've been staying away from the Devil May Cry series because of that game. majadamus

Shame, really. That's the only bad game of the series. DMC1 was amazing for its time and is still great today, and DMC3 is just plain awesome. I'd recommend both very highly. Trust me on this one. :)

Heh, yep, 'tis sarcasm indeed. Maybe I'm just bitter/jaded, but I get bloody sick of all the emphasis put on these graphic comparisons, as if they point towards a superior game. Personally, I couldn't care less how these new games look, I want to see all this 'revolutionary' technology used to add/improve gameplay elements. 

I think I'll just stick with my PS2/SNES for a few years yet, until I see something that REALLY moves me from my apathy :|
