@Erebus: it's called file optimization. Why would they compress textures on a technically superior system? It already ran at 60FPS on Wii U. Derp.

@7tizz: I thought it was far and away the best MK game. The only drawback was the lack of a proper battle mode which is getting added for the Switch release and they're bringing back the ability to hold 2 items.

@Furwings: Persona 4 has one of the most engrossing stories in any game I've very played and some of the best voice acting and localization around. Voice acting is DEFINITELY better than FFXV for sure and it seems like P5 doesn't disappoint either. FFXV looks great but it's still very rough around the edges and has that "unfinished" feel to how everything meshes together. The game feels very stitched together. We all know it's because it was rebuilt twice, but that doesn't excuse it.

I've seen P5 in action and that game has style like nothing I've seen before. I get it that you're not into anime, but that doesn't explain why you like FF so much. The entire series is rooted in anime tropes, it just goes for a more realistic art style and XV was aimed primarily at western gamers because that's where all the money is to be made.

Persona also has some of the most infectiously catchy music. It's very Japanese so expect that you MAY not like the music of a country halfway across the world.... but I think it's catchy as hell!

TL;DR this game is aimed at a japanese audience, FFXV catered to a western audience. Everyone has different tastes. At least this game is finished.

Also, I loved FFXV to death despite all it's glaring flaws.

@aigis: Nyx WAS unfair. It would wait until the fight was almost over and THEN go all out on you and destroy your whole party. Not only was it hard, but it was intentionally programmed to try and frustrate you and waste your time. **** that boss!

@dominoodle: Sony doesn't make ANY games, if were getting technical. They are a hardware manufacturer. I think the only studio they have in-house is Studio Japan and they've make literally 3 games in the past 16 years.

@sakaixx: It's not the only thing wrong with the game. read the whole review before you say that's it.

@Furwings: FFXV was a good game. Not a great one, but a good one. Great highs and low lows. Persona will not disappoint. They are an uphill slope in quality.

@Tortugostalker: I doubt that was the defining reason why it failed to get a perfect score. Other issues were pointed out in the review.

@RicanV: Damn all these good scores. I want to see more 2's!!!

@Tortugostalker: I don't think the unfair boss fights at the end were the defining reason why this didn't get a 10. Read the review and find other points of contention. Either way, take away from this review that it's a fantastic game worth playing.
