@19James89 @Micropixel If anything it points at the Wii U's impending failure if they don't do something about it. Not only was the Wii significantly cheaper than xbox 360 and PS3, It came with a pack in game, and the best kicker, ALL games for Wii retailed 10 bucks cheaper than PS3 and Xbox 360.
Lets look at the Wii U. For current gen tech, it's barely any cheaper than the next gen tech, Games retail at the same price as next gen, and the selection right now is uninspiring. Gonna take more than just a bigger HD and showing off a gimmicky controller to turn the Wii U around.
there's nothing to talk about. M$ is charging more money. They also completely dismiss the customer's concern saying "it's not my problem" It IS your problem when no one is buying your fail console.
This is what M$ tried to do, which is similar to what Sony did. Release a system at cost to generate penetration into the market, establish a recognizable label, then once the name brand is established, gouge the customer. Sony did this with the PS1 which IMO was a phenomenal system which gave them enough market penetration to dominate with the PS2 release. Even though the Xbox and the Gamecube were technically the better system, the market hold Sony had was way too large for either company to take lead. This is the only reason why the PS3 sold decently. IMO the Xbox 360 is the better package.
Unfortunately for M$, they are way too confident in our economy. The depression of 08 made people far more wary of getting the best bang for their buck than before. You can't sell a system when the masses are still recovering. sure your 10% can buy the systm but you're still not selling enough to turn the best profit. bottom line...

With so much backlash and Sony offering something so much better, there's no way Xbox One has "sold through their preorders" unless they purposely restricted how many they're offering because they KNOW their numbers will be less compared to the xbox 360 as well as the new Sony machine. LOL @ you M$.
So basically M$ is telling me what I like or not like? ....Can't these people UNDERSTAND? consumers want OPTIONS. I don't WANT a Kinect. So offer a system that offers it at 100 bucks cheaper. I have Skype, Twitch w/e it's called a PC!
I've said it before. M$ does NOT look at consumers as people, only cattle. Being told what to like and what to buy. When I want fun with my family I don't need a frickin console. I DEFNITELY don't want this in my living room. This goes right into my basement in my man cave. And the loser of the next gen race is, drum roll please....!
