This is what I like to hear. Even though this game is a year old. It's nice it's being ported to the new Nintendo console. I would like to see some other titles being ported over, to give the Nintendo fans more of a collection to their library of games.
The Wii U is a great console, but Nintendo went into the market in the wrong way, they've done the same thing Sony did with the PS Vita. They released a console with little to no active titles out on the market. Then there is nothing coming out for a while. All they have done for this dead air is brag about what will be coming out in the coming 12 months. But they should've had a game, other than Super Mario bros U ready for the Wii U's release. This would've strengthen sales by a huge deal.
March is the month that is the Wii U's first big hitter with titles like Lego City, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, then The Walking Dead game, this could help increase sales. As I know they are the 3 major titles I want in my collection for the Wii U (baring in mind Walking dead will be on the other platforms too).
@brothersinarmsb @TheFallen924 @TigusVidiks To be honest. It isn't a bad excuse, after two of my Xbox 360s rrod on me, I didn't buy another. That's two consoles out of my pocket, and a 3rd for my younger brother. They must had sold a huge amount of Xbox 360s due to people replacing their old broken models.
I stopped playing the Xbox about 3 years back.
I'm not saying that is why the console is doing so well in the sale market, since it is a great console (when it works), but I'm curious to see how many we're replacement consoles for rrod.
True horror aspects throughout would of been nice to see in the Dead Space series. But as I say each time, Dead Space 1 and 2 weren't really the best example of horror games.
Too much action in the game to reallly be scary. Games where you can predict the next corner you take, you got to shoot down a horde, is just isn't really a horror experience.
If they added more suspense into Dead Space 1 and 2, they would be a better quality game for me, but entering a new room just to shoot down more of those mobs just got boring too quick. I didn't bother for the 3rd game in the series, because the previews just showed more action that I was interested in for a horror title.
@krbrown10 I've played Alan Wake, it was a great game. Got it on the day it released and didn't put it down till I had completed it. I didn't get around to playing the stand alone DLC 'American Nightmare.'
Sadly for me, that Dead Space1 and 2 had too much needed combat to make the game scary. If you're pacing through the game well enough, you'll end up getting into gun battles every few minutes. This really ruined the horror aspect for me of these two titles. I don't recall a single moment where my heart was racing in fear. This was the reason I didn't buy the 3rd.
Zombie U was the main title that got me to get the Wii U. I grabbed other titles like CoD BO2, Darksiders 2 mainly because it would be part of a new collection, since I don't own these for the Ps3/Xbox360, or PC.
I'm hardly buying console games lately, but I really want a nice collection of Wii U games. I really enjoy using the gamepad (tablet), it's nice being able to tab in and out of games to surf the net, as well playing games on the unit it's self while looking up to check the TV out for movies/tv shows.
In my opinion, this beats the PS3 and Xbox360 just because it suits my style of gaming better than the other two (casual gaming over handheld/tablet).
If games like Legend of Zelda or Mario in a 3D platformer were out during the Wii U release month, we would see more sales. It's hard to sell new hardware with a very small appealing libary of titles.
But with the Wii U being more open to Indie games, I can see this console being a better experience, also with the new nes/snes emulator coming out later in spring, we should see better sales come Summer.
Gamespot really did well with Random Encounter. I don't quite like the other shows their trying to do, the horror games with the two girls (don't know their name), this is a one hit wonder. Glad this show is often uploaded.
