People will pretend they didn't know that so they can complain more. Fox is already doing this in fact.Ace6301
What did you mean with this? You're saying Fox as in people.

[QUOTE="Ace6301"][QUOTE="LOXO7"][QUOTE="Ace6301"] People will pretend they didn't know that so they can complain more. Fox is already doing this in fact.

Why do people bring up main stream media when it's irrelevant? What is their viewing audience? How many people does this law involve?

Since when if Fox irrelevant when discussing the political climate of the US?

So your saying Fox knew what this decision would mean if it passed and knowingly held this information away from their viewers?

[QUOTE="Ace6301"][QUOTE="chessmaster1989"][QUOTE="The-Apostle"] Because now that voters know it's really a tax, I'd be very surprised if they support any politician that votes against a repeal. Unless it's California, of course...

You know not all voters immediately see a tax and think its bad, right? People already knew there was the individual mandate and penalty. Opinions aren't going to change because it's now called a tax instead of a penalty.

People will pretend they didn't know that so they can complain more. Fox is already doing this in fact.

[QUOTE="Aljosa23"]IIRC, the individual mandate was a compromise made for Republicans wasn't it? Also, it never made sense to me why people said this was unconstitutional yet no one claims to have read the whole bill lol.DroidPhysX
Not only that but their candidate himself pushed for the mandate in Mass.

Because they're the same ****ing thing. Big government. Your getting fooled. It's very convincing.

[QUOTE="lx_theo"] Because its both pro-business and pro-individual? Though I'm not going to argue with you on this. You seem too much the crazy type.lx_theo

How is it individualism when you are in a forced group?

Same way regulations stop business from trampling over the freedoms of people. While the bill remains business friendly by not destroying the free market part, it also restricts them enough to stop them from said trampling. It creates a decent balance between the two.

For example? The freedoms of people, like speech?

okay...agree or disagree with the healthcare ruling...can someone please tell me how this headline matches the description with what is written underneath it?...so misleading... this is MSNBC.com btw...

Omni-Slash
No it's not. Small business meaning one. Advocacy groups meaning more than one. One small business says that's not true. But it can be easily misread, and is written that way on purpose.

[QUOTE="LOXO7"][QUOTE="Serraph105"] well they are the ones who drive healthcare costs up by getting emergency treatment and not being able to pay for it. And it's the high costs that keep her from getting it in the first place.theone86

Yeah that's bs. There needs to be something to make people not depend on the safety nets. Oh right, capitalism, free markets, less government regulation forcing people to be less free. The possibility that an individual can make a better life for themselves when compared to what they receive from social welfare living, should be enough to make people want more.

Well, for one if people want to make more for themselves beyond the safety net they can. Two, the U.S. has some of the highest healthcare costs among industrialized nations, to say that the free market provides better costs than public healthcare is demonstrably false.

Maybe because of it's other government entwined policies in the medicine industry making it so?

[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"]Neato. Looks like GOP presidents have bad habits of picking justices that side with liberals on major issues.lx_theo
I just think its more than the Republicans have taken such an extreme stance in their conservatism since Obama got elected that not even all their justices agree with them anymore.

It should be clear both sides want the same thing, big government. I thought Obama picked two justices already and will pick a third after the elder lady retires. Sandra?
