[QUOTE="Maelkav"]Again, it's all up to opinion. How many games were "worth getting" the first 5 months of the 360's life (or the PS3, for that matter)? I'm satisfied by my Wii. I don't console-collect, so I won't be getting any of the other consoles, but I'm glad that I'm saddled with Nintendo for the long haul.

Xbox 360:

1. Oblivion
2. GRAW
3. Call of Duty 2
4. Kameo
5. Perfect Dark Zero
6. Dead or Alive 4
7. Condemned
8. Project Gotham Racing 3

PS3:

1. Resistance
2. Virtua Fighter 5
3. Splinter Cell: Double Agent
4. Oblivion
5. Motorstorm

Wii:
1. Twilight Princess
2. Trauma Center
3. Wario Ware

I see a huge difference in quality.

Yeah, I do too. Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham Racing, and Condemned don't deserve to be on that list. Of course, you're a lem, and I'm a sheep, so our opinions will always clash. It is the way of the universe...

These are for games you feel DIDN'T get the recognition they deserved, so no FF7 or KotOR or something like that.

For me?

PC: Planescape:Torment

DC: Skies of Arcadia (not underrated, but the system itself was under-bought)

My personal opinion is that though the games are comparable right now, 20 years from now people will not still be playing Gears but there will be people playing Twilight Princess. Twilight Princess is just a charming, epic adventure that you'll want to relive over and over again, Gears however is a short campaign which I've heard some complaints about and a multi-player that will be abandoned once Halo 3 comes out. It isn't just a shooter thing, Doom, System Shock, and Half-Life 2 will be played 20 years after launch. They just have that magical charm to them. Gears appeal comes mainly from the graphics which in 10 years will not be considered anything special.Zerostatic0

QFT. I STILL play System Shock 2....highly underrated.

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]Wii has good games. Lots of them. Both out and coming out. You fail.NeonNinja

Um, care to back that up there chief?  Last i checked, having only like TWO games worth getting (Twilight Princess, Trauma Center and MAYBE FOR SOME PEOPLE WarioWare), doesn't necessarily count as "Lots of them"

Now what sure-fire hits does it have down the pipeline?  Metroid, Mario, Smash Bros, Paper Mario (maybe), No More Heroes (maybe), Dewy's Adventure (maybe).  I have a Wii, and its collecting dust BECAUSE THERE AREN'T ANY GOOD GAMES.

Ooooh, hey, do you hear that?  That's the sound of failure... that's exactly what you sound like right now.

Again, it's all up to opinion. How many games were "worth getting" the first 5 months of the 360's life (or the PS3, for that matter)? I'm satisfied by my Wii. I don't console-collect, so I won't be getting any of the other consoles, but I'm glad that I'm saddled with Nintendo for the long haul.

I enjoyed TP a lot, even compared to OoT. OoT was great, but I was in the mood for another great "realistic" Zelda. (WW was fun, but not "realistic" by any stretch of the imagination).

Gears of War was very fun, but a lot of the intensity was from all of the gore and blood. Without that, I might not have had a lasting impression.

[QUOTE="taker42"][QUOTE="lordxymor"]I think it's amazing how they manage to sell 12M of that crap. I mean, this "virtual pet" fad should have ended with the tamagochi fever. Put the resources into making real games for god's sake. lordxymor

It sold 12M but you think they should do something else? I'm not really advocating "virtual pets" but no company would kill a golden goose.

Of cource they wouldn't kill a golden goose. But Nin dogs doesn't deserve to be called a game in my option just like that thing that Ashlee Simpson does shouldn't be called music.
But hey, there's people who like it. Brain-damaged people in my opinion. :)

Yeah, it's your opinion.

But the vast majority of people who see people pay $400-600 for a toy, play games all day long, and waste money on even MORE games think that those types of people are "Brain-damaged".

Your opinion is in the minority, just like your opinion on Ashlee Simpson is in the minority. Millions and millions of people buy her CDs. (I happen to agree with you on this point, however).

As always, an opinion will be just that, an opinion. And an opinion will never sway the market.

I think it's amazing, too! I mean, people don't REALLY like those games. They must be brainwashed. I mean, what's with all those sidescrollers, too? I mean, shouldn't this "Mario" fad have died with Super Mario 3 on the NES? Make some real games!

Just because a game feels like an epic war movie doesn't mean it's the epitome of gaming. More people than not prefer fun, cartoony, mindless games. Games with points, and stars, and colors. Not so much chainsaws and bloodbaths. You can be in denial all you want, but why else would the Wii be selling so well right now?

It was a JOOOKE!

I guess that "best" is an opinion, so I'm guessing that you mean "the highest quantity of AA and AAA games".

I'd say PC, hands down.

For the consoles, my hunch is the 360, though the Wii will have more games that appeal to ME personally. But yeah, 360.

like people said Pokémon Mystery Dungeonwould kill the pspflashattackfina

Unfair comparison. That's like saying Super Mario Sunshine was on the same level as Super Mario 64.

Mystery Dungeon was not a true pokemon game by any stretch of the imagination.

Eh? As long as they are fun. ( which they are )

I guess you didn't pick up my sarcasm...

Oh well.
