The triumph of Sega's Empire: Total War at the top of the ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 40 yesterday marks the most successful debut in the history of the Total War series.

Week one sales of the title were nearly double those of both Rome: Total War and Medieval II: Total War, and is the first in the series' to claim the Top 40 top spot. It also becomes the first PC exclusive title to reach the top since Football Manager 2008 in October 2007 – another Sega PC title.

Empire: Total War's surge comes at the cost of Killzone 2, with sales of Sony's title dipping 58 per cent compared to its first week. A similar drop in sales was suffered by Microsoft's Halo Wars (-54 per cent), which slipped to fourth position, and Capcom's Street Fighter IV (-59 per cent).

exactly. devs on Pc don't need to worry about games not having market. that's why you see a wide variety of games on Pc.

How would my computer run multiplat games - in general - as I'd like to play them on Pc rather than on the xbox 360?

Could I play them on Pc or I'd better stick with the console?

I don't care about maxing out games, medium settings are okay too, but if I get a better result with the xbox 360, I'll stick with it then.

considering the lousy amount of console exclusives, it make little sense to criticize Pc gaming for the lack of games. As a xbox 360 owner I can see how pointless is to own this console sometimes, so many cross-platform games and it's use is reduced to playing those games that don't make it to the pc, or make it late.

it will use bluray, but won't need to set up a deal with Sony.

Bluray is a better technology, larger space, more resistant disc surface, so why not adopting it.

But I also think that flash drives and memory sticks could be a nice alternative to discs in the future.

yes, it was clear even at the E3, when along with Halo and Gears they also talked about Call of Duty with all the exclusive maps. what's strange is that they didn't even show a footage of Crackdown 2 which seems to rely on the online experience as well.. and game is due next month. that was weird. and Molineux just made a short appearence showing a glimpse of the game.

unfortunately Pc doesn't get console exclusive games like Bayonetta, Red Dead Redemption, Fifa games and Super Street Fighter 4 for instance. not to mention the nice exclusives that each console offers like Gow3, Alan Wake and Galaxy.

you wrecked your WoW disc and your dvd just because you tilted the tower case and the player. congratulations, teach me how to do it, because with my 5-year old cheap pc no scratch will happen if i tilt the tower while the disc is spinning.

I OWN an xbox 360 and I don't HATE on Ms, I just complained about an aspect that I don't like. maybe because I don't worship things just for the hell of it.
