The Wii U could be just as successful as Nintendo's old console the Gamecube. But the Gamecube had stuff for everybody they had family games and Hardcore games but the wii u is WAY TOO POINTED AT KIDS. They need to give more games then the mario Crew with toad and yoshi having there own Game and Zelda gets really boring after a while they just need to balance out the table between Games for kids and games for hardcore gamers

This... Wii-u only really has mario and friends and a few 3rd party launch titles. Don't care for mario and friends, stopped playing mario back in 1992. The console needs to be aimed for everyone not just kids... I bought a 3ds for 3rd party games alone and the occasional fire emblem or advanced wars (that never showed). Still sucks that when I look at the racks at game stores 90% of the games are aimed at kids. Nothing wrong with that but you won't find someone like me buying the console (and I have kids. They'd rather play on ps4 or on PC).

@True_Gamer_:

Your comparaison is laughable and fits your agenda... I could do the same thing with different parts, and make the opposite true.

For example, why are you using a $133.00 video card for the 2015 build but a super budget video card in the 2007 model? Why no dvd rom in the 2015 model but you have one in the 2007 model (steam was a thing back then too, I should know I had it since day 1 on vampire bloodlines and half-life2)

Put a $49.00 gpu in a system from today you will get similar results.

Pump up that vid card in the 2007 build to a $130-150 card and you will get excellent results, better than those consoles...

an HD 3850, or 8600gt would of rocked anything in that time frame. Or hell even a 1950xt would rock or a 8800gt would skyrocket you past anything on the 360 at that time..

I know I had a 6800 unlocked vanillia in 06, then a 7800gt and finally a 8800gts in 07. All those rocked but cost a lot, a mid grade card would of been fine though for most people. I remember playing call of duty 2, neverwinter nights 2, stalker and crysis and not having any problem, plus my version of cod 2 was higher res and more effects than the 360 version.

This myth of last gen consoles being better than pc at the time has got to stop. It wasn't. You could build any pc for the same price, especially if you already had a pc case, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and power supply from an old build. Sometimes even the ram could be carried over if you were on a budget. The top things needed was #1 video card, #2 cpu and #3 ram.

What blows my mind, is how it has all these outstanding games, some of which are the best we've seen in years even from Nintendo... and people still don't buy it.

Not everyone likes mario, and friends. Just because the games are good doesn't mean they attract people to buy a system. Hell I own a 3ds and ds and don't own 1 mario game, I bought them for the 3rd party games and the occasional fire emblem / Advanced wars... Wii -u has none of that. It only has mario and friends and almost zero 3rd party support. There's also the fact that I typically only buy 1 console per gen.. and rely on pc and handhelds to fill in any gaps (which has led to 200+ backlog of games btw...)

People around here may bitch about the vita but at least that has had 3rd party support, unlike the wii-u, and it does the whole 2nd screen thing too (only it does it away from the house as well).

It's the same thing with me and Xbox. Just because a halo game gets a good review., that doesn't mean I am going to buy their systems. I spend more on games for my current systems, I don't have the cash or want to go out and buy more systems.. that means less games, and hell I have kids, a wife and a dog... shit cost money... (and in for the xbox... I don't like halo, ever since buying it on pc... its overrated).

If I owned a current gen console, I'd be pissed.

Yep, the current gen is a gen of broken promises.

Bit better graphics for the most part, no new experiences, a load of remakes, multiplats and shit games.

Yeah I'm pissed. Why I went over to the PC.

Why do you people seem to think pc and consoles can't co-exist? I play both.. have games on both. play consoles style games on console (Playstation family) and pc style games on PC.... meaning : Anything that plays better with a controller I get on console, anything that plays better with keyboard and mouse or only with that I get on PC... and get practivcally every good handheld game.

Maybe because I am an adult with a career, I can buy this stuff. It makes me wonder if the people who can only have one or the other are kids who only get a few games during the holidays and don't have jobs or are too lazy to work?

I'll buy what I want, thanks.

Remakes/remasters aren't stopping new games from coming out at all.

This... It's the same for the people who bitch about indies... If you don't like don't buy.. Those games don't stop AAA games from being made, as they are made by smaller studios. I own over 50 games for my PS4 so yeah, not missing out on the games like some here want to portray with their agenda (and I own 400+ pc games, 100+ ps3 games, 150+vita games(psp/ps1 incl), 20+ 3ds games etc...... )

Weak CPU that is often the cause of bottlenecks. Weak GPU that can't match 2012 PC settings.

It hasn't got it right. It's just the least terrible.

Oh here comes the lems and the stuck on superiority herms with their "can't match pc" bullshit yet they don't talk shit about the xbone... Funny isn't it.

The thing is no console has ever topped pc. You people that complain because something isn't using a $900 gpu and expect the price of consoles to be under $400 are insane! Sony tried that last gen and look what happened, an expensive box. The ps4 is equivalent to my PC build a 7870 ... and that is amazing considering the optimization, 1st party and Japanese style games that won't come to pc.. ( notice I didn't say one was better than the other as they can live in harmony, unlike so many here seem to refute).

@Krelian-co: in our dreams, those franchises died in the golden age of squaresoft / PS1.

Am currently loving type 0, much more than the ff15 demo. It's amazing what square can do when graphics aren't priortized. I mean this psp remaster has more depth than all their gen 7 games combined..

@Salt_The_Fries: I agree. Bioshock 2 was great. It got unfair hate because it wasn't made by irrational games. It was bullshit hate , like most hate, really.

Bio2 was made by Arcane, the same devs that made Dishonored, dark messiah of might and magic, and Arx Fatalis. All great games. Arcane has always been about player choice and divergent gameplay, something Bio2 has in spades compared to 1 and especially infinite.

Personally I disliked infinite, a lot. It was convoluted and boring. Levine and crew had trouble finishing infinate, which is why they stopped, don't know why he branched off to do mobile shit. Would of preferred a proper system shock 3 kickstarters or something.

@chikenfriedrice:

Let's not turn this into siw neogaf bullcrap, leave politics or what happened in the early 1990s out of this. It's 2015, sure there is some police corruption, but demonizing a whole group from the acts of a few is just wrong. Just as wrong as demonizing a whole group of people when a select bunch in fergeson and la do rioting , looting and pillaging their own town for greed.

My point is this crap goes both ways, and people seem to forget that fact. Information is always misconstrued, and this is why we should stick to talking about the game and nor the politics around such.

In other words the game sucks... that is really all that needs to be said.

Not to parade on the FF circle jerk, but personally I found the demo on my FF Type 0 disc to be kinda disappointing... Sure it's nice looking in animation, but some of the scenery is bland. They attempt to make it open world like skyrim yet you can't swim, you can't climb or do much of anything except fight. Granted I only played for about 30 mins but the fighting system seemed boring to me. I never got to the summons part, and hell I couldn't figure out how to switch to a different party member. Can you switch? I pushed every button and I was stuck with the guy with the black hair. It felt more restrictive in that sense than FF13. If they want to make the game like skyrim they need to put actual quests in it. NPCs to talk to, stuff that every other final fantasy game has had. I felt like the demo just seemed like one big mission to hunt a monster. I didn't see any side quests the whole time and there was no real plot.

I hope the real game has a plot, lets you switch characters and isn't just about graphics with no substance. I am missing old school turn based FF honestly. For real time game play in a jrpg, I prefer the tales of franchise. I played Tales of hearts R on my vita later this evening for about 15 minutes and had more fun playing that then the time I spent in the FF demo. Also not liking the trend of making the characters even more Japanese looking. All other FF games they didn't look like they stepped off the streets of Akihabra Tokyo.
