Here in Europe I don't think you can even buy a gun, never seen a gun shop in my life.

Thanks for the replies. Hmm. Pretty sure I won't be able to afford my gaming rig till the end of the year anyhow, so I'm glad there will be some better hardware by then.dgmul

ATI will release the 5000 series in october while Nvidia will release the GT300 series in Q1 2010. Should be a good step up in terms of performence compared to the cards you can get now. Best thing to do now is save up and get a next gen beast of a GPU and you should be sorted for years to come. :P

Why don;t you just get the 550 with an unlocked multi? If it's out of your budget I would just get the X2 240 its a little bit weaker than the three you mentioned but it should be a little bit cheaper. If you want the best performence CPU of the three you mentioned get the 545

Can't go over 100 dollars with the cpu. I also mentioned 2 more on first post.

The ones you mentioned of the first post are crap. The first phenom series were a disaster for AMD and the X2 6000 is like an oven and doesnt perform well.

its actually $125 they subtract $50 and then add in the game which costs $50 (and you can't remove the game from the shopping cart) i guess that's just how they show the value of the game but still give it for free with the purchase. its the same thing with the cpu and flash drive

i did some research and i found out they they where the same card they just re-released it with a different name and made it more energy efficient, many thanks ;), i just only picked that card because it seemed to be really popular and had a pretty good price but the gts 250 is the same price, i also hope they give out a different game like call of duty or something

the processor is pretty expensive for a core 2 duo, i was considering the q8200, and q6600 and found out that the one i picked is better for gaming and the price isn't that bad, its acually pretty good for the price

Looks good but I don't see why you go for the Intel build, especially if you are on budget. AMD build would be cheaper that Intel E8400 cpu cost $150 while AMD X2 550 which performs pretty much the same cost $100 and not to mention if you get lucky can unluck the other two cores. And since 550 is black edition you can also overclock it very easily.

Anyway the PC build you got looks good and you should be able to play the newest games.

Dude If I was you I would wait till the end of the year, alot of new stuff coming out, new GPU and Intel will release i5 which should be abit weaker than i7 but the price would be much better I think. ATI will also release the 5000 series in 3 months which will perform better than gtx285. Also its better to get a single card solution for the GPU thats why I would just wait a coule of months till next gen cards come out.

But if you want the best now just go with what you plan. I don't know alot about i7 mobos so can't really help ya there. I am sure someone with more experience will give you advice. Go with good named brands such as Gigabyte :)

PC is the cheapest platform to play games and by a big margin. Seriously PC has everything, hardcore games and casual games, cheaper games plus you get more mileage out of games cause of mods etc. PC also has much better online capability and not to mention thousands of FREE games you can play online on website such as miniclips.

PC is the ultimate platform and consoles are becoming more and more like PC, only they are 10 years behind. Consoles are finally sorting out their online and are trying to bring user created content to games but PC had all of them since the stone age lol. Not to mention you can use the PC for everything, work, play, watch movies etc.

You can only be called a true gamer if you own a PC IMO.

ThatGuyFromBe4

What's with you PC gamers? It's like you think you're a superior race of people or something. Give it a damn rest, you're not better than anyone.

Just saying that PC games are usually much better than on consoles so if you want the best experience you need to have a PC.

And us PC gamers hardly ever say that, its you console gamers that are tottaly obsessed with your console being superior to the competition and creating countless threads about which console has superior graphics and then counting the freaking pixels.....

Give it a damn rest, you're not better than anyone.
