I don't get it why they need to spend so much money on developing. In order to keep costs down. game developers should make a game engine and then use it for years to come. Valve's source engine is a good example, flexible engine that willlast for6,7 years old before they will need to replace it.

Also games are too expensive, they need to be cheaper much cheaper in order to target mass market. Many gamers don't buy all the latest games because they simply can't afford to shell out $60 every month or two. In holiday seasons if you want to get all the big games you will spend a fortune in buying them.

The gaming industry needs to change or there will be another crash. Gaming is already expensive as it is and I am not gonna spend $70 for a game that I can complete in 5 hours. I ant crazy...

Since you seemed to have played most old school MMORPG, you should try out Eve Online.

Eve Online is a sci-fi type of an MMORPG, tons of stuff to do and it is alot different than other MMORPG out there.

Trailer

Try out the 14 day free trail at Eve Onlineor if you have steam you can try the 21 day free trial.

The game costs $15 per month but payingfor moremonths at once brings it down to $10 or something like that. Also when you develop your character more you could possible play for free by buying time cars with in game money.

Anyway I know it's over your budget but you should atleast try out the free trial :D

Both CPU are almost the same price £10 difference between then, 550 being cheaper. But I wanted to know which one would perform better in general tasks and which one would last longer in terms of performence in the next 2-3 years?

I know that 9650 are the original phenoms that were not good but still 2 cores difference for £10..

Man AMD is on the roll lately

The new system is much better. Before the achievements things sucked since fair players like me played on normal server trying to unlock achievements. It took a long time to unlock new weapons this way but most people just went on achievement servers and unlocked new weapons in 10 min. Then you played against them and you got owned cause they had better weapons than you....

Anyway why are people complaing? We are getting a free updates and you guys still complain? The orange box was an amazing deal and now we are getting free updates, maps, weapons and new gameplay mods and yet people are still complaing. You guys should be glad that valve dosen't rip people off like companies do on consoles.

ATI released a new GPU this week. HD 4770, same performence as HD 4850 pretty much but its less than 100 bucks. This GPU can handle Crysis at High and is less than $100. Beat that consoles 8)

Yea anyone who is paying $50 a year to play online is being ripped off. Sony offers pretty much the same level of service and they don't charge for it. $50 a year does not sound like much but over the whole generation you will spend like $300. Those $300 dollars can buy you a neext generation console when it comes out...

PC,Wii,PS3 all have free online yet xbox it isn't. Even the argument you get what you pay for is useless since live is not THAT much better than the free stuff.

Ok so im running:

Intel core i7 920 at 2.66ghz.

6gb of ddr3 at 1666

xfx gtx 280

ultra x3 800 watt psu

asus p6t deluxe motherboard

I am running DX10, 64bit mode, with Enthusiast(spelling?) settings, no aa, 1680 x 1050 resolution.

I get between 20-35 depending. Shouldnt i be getting more fps?

Crypt_mx

Dude download the CCC mod for crysis. The mod was build for the first crysis so I am not sure that it will work with warhead. CCC mod puts crytek to shame since the game runs soo much better not to mention AI improvements and graphic improvements such as shadow and day of light.

I got an ancient 1 core 2.2Ghz CPU, 1GB of ram and X1950pro 256MB and I can almost get smooth framerate on level 3 setting (Medium setting).

CCC mod walks all over crytek optiomisation. Makes crytek look like a bunch of amatures.
