@d12dotcom @Nick_Fury_Shine @cinerius I suppose that is true, but imagine everyone start giving 10/10 to any game they deem to be ''Legendary", so it can leave a mark in history, which is the ultimate goal of any book, game, video, painting its a natural extension of humanity to strife to leave its mark on history. I think the 1 to 10 system is made for the purposes of the user base, not for GameSpot to use, but in order to provide a comparison for us to argue with or agree on they use the same system and the rest is left for interpretation. Like i said its a point of view.

@cinerius @Nick_Fury_Shine Depends on the point of view. Everything is relative , there is no escaping that. Even my opinion is relative to my past my present and so on.

The problem here is the lack of objectivity and the presence of a random essay on what is the setting of "The last of us" and its emotional effect on the characters, that is published as a review to the game. The game review is simply aimed in the wrong direction, its more like a book review than as a game, when in fact it is a game regardless of platform. If he was looking at the deep story plot and trying to search for existential answers in a post apocalyptic time he shouldn't have done so on a game review site, here the majority of people are not looking at the narrative 100% of the time, people are here to get their money's worth, find whats new and what is fun and who's bang wagon to get on.

I had some hands on with the game, but it just wasn't to my liking since the whole zombie theme was flooded to the masses and its no longer a niche. It lacks the setting to be a scary horror as well, with all those vivid colors. However it was well executed with good sound graphics user interface and responsive controls and the AI is definitely better than the RE5 one ... the plot is somewhere out there and the characters are deep. Honestly i think it can be a 9 and it feels like a 9.

Anything labeled with 10/10 means perfect, there are no perfect things in this world and everyone should get of from that bus. The only people that give 10/10 are either fan-boys, payed to do so, or have no idea about evaluation and reality.

@the_big_doggg It sounds more realistic, there are no perfect games and the Gold age of games passed, so everything is a bit more mature and conservative. However Gamespot like any review site has a benefactor, I leave the imagination to do the rest, but yes I think 7 and 8 max a 9 is what it should be, a 10 is either godlike status or extreme fanboy status.

A 7 sounds about right, i'd give it a 7.5 just for the visuals. The design of the scene is very nice and immersing, but like mr Ord said you are boxed by invisible walls everywhere. What really got me is the music, everything else was mediocre.
