Fair enough review, Tom (plus, an 8 is still positive, something often missed with readers)..

...but 30 characters is a boring roster? Sorry, Tom, but I'm calling you on that...in a world where it seems like every other game would charge for anything past 10 characters as DLC, 30 (or 16, if you subtract the ones you didn't like) is a staggering selection in a kart racing game, especially when you highlight the amazing race mechanics as the core value. No excuses, like you said...it's about the racing. Too many more characters, and you have balance issues. I think asking for more than 30 characters is borderline greedy, if not downright unnecessary.

Then again, I love the Koopa Kids, so I might be biased. :D

I appreciate this review, falling in a similar camp as the reviewer, having not been really interested in shooters for some years now. With a game that has been hard to escape the hype over, flooded with "play it! Because Titanfall!!!" it's nice to hear from a guy that was kind of on the fence, and open to a fresh experience. Thanks for the review, and an 8 sounds fair!

Seriously, when the dust of this ridiculous "console war" settles, there, sitting in the middle, with one of the greatest libraries of this gaming generation, will be the 3DS. Excited to try this out, great review!

@Redblaze27 @Walkerdowntown Exactly, the series begs for limited, small party co-op. I always thought that'd be a great attempt at multiplayer.

@edgardpoe Skyrim is made by Bethesda and the mods are made by players, both having nothing to do with BioWare, so unless I missed something, this comment confuses me...
