Best gaming related show on the internet, easily. Thanks for this, Danny.

As an overweight kid, I'd come home from incessant teasing and find sanctuary disappearing into Final Fantasy VI for hours on end, finding I could connect with all of the characters and their struggles, and have replayed that game countless times. As a healthy adult, I still make time for my gaming hobby, and happily build new fond memories.

On the topic of trying to steer Chris (or any newcomer to Final Fantasy) towards the better FF titles, it's nice to see VI has been brought up several times, but I feel it should be noted that it's port to PS1 (and subsequent re-releases of that port to the PSN) is actually a pretty bad port, with several technical issues, stuttering, and terrible load times. Most of the other FF's you can play in just about any format (I've been playing IX happily on the Vita recently), but VI is best enjoyed in the SNES form (or Nintendo virtual console), or Game Boy Advance release.

It might seem a silly suggestion, and it's not so bad that it's not still great, but to fans of the game, playing the port is like watching a bootleg version of your favorite movie on a smartphone...sure, you can, but...you really shouldn't.

On the bright side, any other FF you play will now be gold...if you play another after such bad taste left in your mouth.

VI is reminiscent of old school SNES glory (I'm looking at you, Chrono Trigger) and my personal favorite, though a great time can really be had by any of them, despite the constant bickering within the ranks of FF fans.

Actually, if you enjoy PC games, you'd probably land in the XII camp, as it reminds me of many western gaming designs, with an almost MMO quality. Some fans hate the changes, but I thought it kept me more actively engaged, and I loved it.

That being said, thanks for the second opinion!

PlanetSide 2 is an amazing game that is worth paying for, yet maintains a great F2P model...little annoyances like this that they recognize and try to alleviate are fine with me.

@blackace @Diogladius I approve of comments like these, for the record, celebrating the entertainment in diversity. Gaming should be about fun, not about flames. Bravo.

...I may or may not have missed that you were singing the Spiderman theme instead of the Batman theme until you pointed it out...

..brilliant...

Actually a fair review, though having just finished the game (the new Arkham Knight trailer inspired me!), I might skew the score up to at least a 7, if only because the game was so underhyped for me by now. Great story and use of characters, great Batman inspired Christmas soundtrack, fun (though predictable) combat, and an overall enjoyable Batman experience marred by a handful of bugs, glitches, and cheap boss tricks that sometimes made me shake my head.

@Bhemont @b74kd3th Agreed, I thought TR was the best iteration yet, and while Deus Ex didn't quite live up to the original, it was damn entertaining and still amazing.

A very well written review for what turned out to be a 4, it read more like an editorial, which is actually what I'd like to see more of in reviews...depth and attention. Looking forward to what you think of games you actually enjoy, keep it up!

This game is so terrible, and that's why I love it. The perfect guilty pleasure, especially with friends.
