Okay lets say Nintendo does get more support, that still doesn't benefit the consumer. For example, as I mentioned earlier EA and Ubi are supporting the wii but the titles they put out are crap. Now tell me how that's beneficial to the consumer? Why should devs spend time, effort, and money tocreate quality 3rd party titles when they can just make crap that will appeal to non gamer consumersseeing ashow they make up the majority of wii sales. It's all about quality, and I ain't seeing that!

ok...then why did people even bother developing for the PS2 last gen? there were tons of casuals/non-gamers who owned a PS2, and yet there were still plenty of quality 3rd party titles

The wii is supposedly to be in a different market this time around, so how can we assume that more quality 1st and 3rd party support will come? Especially when comparing it to other consoles that had the most sales in previous gens seeing as how they were all after the same market as their competitors. This gen the Nintendo, said themselves they are not competing with the other consoles, so they are obviously going to be do a lot of things different and changing the trend of every console leader gets better support thanit's competitors.CB4McGusto

lets put it this way...if you were a developer, would you want your game selling 100,000 copies, or 1,000,000 copies.

Wii gets games

oh wait, I can already play that on my computer just as well.

or with my neighbor, or at the park.

heh, well it's still alright, but don't act like it makes PS3 amazing...

NP gave it a 10...while they gave TP a 9.5

considering most sites gave TP a pretty good score, I figure this'll do pretty well too.

In b4 "NP sucks/isn't credible/you're an idiot"

[QUOTE="afmsquid"]

[QUOTE="a_ratchet_fan"]You PC>>>>>>Mac robots DO realize that for the low, low price of $70 you can run PC applications AND Mac applications side-by-side, right? You don't even have to boot out of one to go to the other; they're completely integrated. You can only do this on a mac... that includes running vista apps or just plain running vista, btw.a_ratchet_fan

Unless I was a graphic designer, or music producer, there really are no MAC applications that I want to run.

Then in your case, there is no point. Although there are a few perks, like not contracting viruses - do not try to bull**** me on this, my comp has gotten its fair share of spyware/malware just from using harmless websites like GOOGLE or YAHOO - it would be more practical to just get the one you know you'll use.

with the right firefox extensions/programs basically all malware can be avoided.

I run two different anti-malware programs, along with noscript, and for overkill if I go anywhere even remotely dangerous I use sandbox.

also, the point wasn't that mac could run windows just fine, it was that while there are plenty of mac users who want to run vista, you'll find very few windows users who want to run Apple's OS

the fact that macs pride themselves on being able to run vista/whatever doesn't exactly help your case, in my mind it makes you more pathetic since you don't exactly see windows users being forced to use another OS just to play a game.

and it sure does seem to me that apple's products are overpriced, unless I'm supposed to be paying that much just for an OS?

the reason everyone despises mac/their users is because they think they're better than everyone else when in fact, they're not.

they're about as bad as outspoken athiests.
