Jessica Alba's Brain Age? 82

"I had my DS on the set of Fantastic Four and I bought it for my entire cast when we wrapped," said Alba. "I guess I just felt bad because between takes they'd be chatting and we were in the Fantasticar and I'd always have my iPod and my DS with me. It was like fingernail-biting, gripping moments in the movie and then, "Cut!" I'd pick up my DS and try to beat my 82 age in Brain Age. I'd try to memorize all of those damn words."

Serious DOA Question

Okay Boys & Girls, I have a handful of questions that I would like to ask you. If the DOA franchise continued to look very much as it always has but played like Tekken or Virtua Fighter, would those individuals who consider themselves to be serious fans of the fighting genre accept it? Or, would they continue to dismiss it and if so, then why? Breasts, perhaps?

THE IDOLM@STER Picture Pack

While checking the "new" downloadable content on Live, I encountered a picture pack for THE IDOLM@STER. The description for the picture pack is written in kanji. Is this a mistake? Did someone goof and offer this to the wrong market?

I downloaded THE IDOLM@STER Picture Pack. Does that make me Baron Ecchi Von Richthofen?

A Forza Auction Purchase

Because I have very little skill and even less patience, I will purchase unique rides, rather than making them. The automobile below, is my very first Auction House purchase. I'm not naive enough to think that it is a one of a kind but I like it.

Aside from the amazing paint scheme, the car was bone stock when I purchased it. I added the performance goodies.

New Toy

Did you know that Microsoft is giving away one of their wireless racing wheels, with every $120.00 copy of PGR:3? Well, they are and I just got one.

Now I can already hear Don in my headset saying, "Oh Jonathan, you didn't!" Yes Don, yes I did. I have yet to open the package. I'll post some thoughts & impressions later.

Superfluous Celebrity / Entertainment

Seriously, what has become of Hollywood, the music industry and the realm of entertainment as a whole? When did the superfluous and irrelevant take center stage?

Great music and cinema still exist but they are hidden behind countless layers of vapid tripe. The words Pop Culture, do not have to be, nor should they be, synonymous with No Culture.

I love silly, trivial things but they have forgotten their place in this world. Argh!

Lost in the twilight.

During the many hours that I have thus far invested in playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, I lost something. I lost any interest that I had, in finishing the game.

Upon reaching the city in the sky my interest didn't wane, it, as Warden Samuel Norton would say, "up and vanished like a fart in the wind!"

I think I'll put my WaveBird down for a few days. Perhaps I simply need a change of scenery.

Apocalypto

I've avoided this film, until now. Not because of reviews or word of mouth. I avoided it, because the title put me off. APOCALYPTO In my mind, that sounds like a bad bit of fifties era science fiction. A stupid reason, I suppose, to avoid watching a film but it managed to keep me at bay for a very long while.

I enjoyed most of the film but the ending, was a real stinker. I now wish that I had stuck with my original assumptions. "APOCALYPTO? Man, that sounds stupid!"

Free Game, Plasma Pong (PC & Mac)

There is a chance that this game has already been mentioned elsewhere on GameSpot but it's new to me.

"PLASMA PONG is a variation of PONG that utilizes real-time fluid dynamics to drive the game environment."
