So glad to see this franchise back in top form. The lack of Xbox cause me to miss 6 and Horizon was garbage. So, in essence, I've been waiting for this sequel for 12 years. Thankful it's actually good and will live up to the franchises best games. I only wish I had the flight stick and VR to get the full experience.
I am not a fan of Ubi trying to force players into the PVP experience. I thought the DZ stuff in the original game was all right, but between the griefing and the extremely repetitive nature of the DZ, it just stopped being worthwhile. Ubi should be focusing it's energy into the PVE. What they need is more content for it, a LOT more content. THAT was the worst part of the game. It was such a short experience. I'll never understand why these AAA companies trying to make AAA games with MMO concepts don't just fully embrace the MMO idea. If you're going to make it like an RPG, then make it an RPG.
So, finally a DB game that isn't a fighter? Great news, because I imagine there are plenty of people like myself who aren't fighter fans that love DB. I'll look forward to seeing more, though hopefully it's not some mobile game and a console/PC game.
@asultana121x: So, you think that all movie critics are so politically motivated that they will tear a movie apart just because it doesn't align with them politically? That's dumb. Sometimes a movie is just bad. You may personally enjoy that movie, and that's great, but that doesn't mean the movies you enjoy are good, it just means you like them. Sometimes, collected critical opinion disagrees with average movies goers (see Star Wars: The Last Jedi), but more often than not, collected critical opinion is pretty spot on, and people just tend to have terrible taste in movies.
So it's basically what I suspected, another Shyalaman blunder that puts his pretentiousness on display. I enjoyed Split, it was a pleasant surprise and gave us one of the few post-Signs Shyalaman successes, but this guy just let's his ego get in the way of everything, and it's what always undoes his worst movies. Here, it sounds like he's trying to be that edgy guy that's crafting a comic book movie that isn't really a comic book movie, or one that's supposed to be grounded, but isn't really, and that this is somehow more artistic. Honestly, I don't know. He's clearly going for something here, and it sounds like he fails at whatever it is. Which is really too bad, because Unbreakable is one of his best films, while Split was good enough that this should have been a good film.
@nerveagentuk: Between all the MP shooters I've played and all the single player shooter I've played, I will go back to my SP shooters time and time again. MP shooters last maybe a couple of weeks before I'm bored and move on, and that's if they're really, really good. So, spending $50 on a SP shooter is worth it. I have absolutely zero interest in competing with people in games. I'd much rather spend time with my friends in a co-op game, which never gets old.
@nerveagentuk: A good story is never boring, and neither is playing with friends in co-op. Just as you think single player gets dull, that's how I feel about MP. It gets pretty repetitious and pointless, playing the same thing over and over and over. At least a story takes me on a satisfying journey. Thankfully, we still have companies like Bethesda which make satisfying single player driven games.
@nerveagentuk: I don't play any MP shooters. I prefer single player or co-op. I also prefer the original style to R6, where you would pre-plan and then execute your mission in as efficient a way as possible. Siege does a lot, but at the end of the day, it's still just another MP shooter, which are a dime a dozen these days.
