@doodoflife: Yes because IGN is 100% right and never wrong about anything. Their score is final even though the reviewer clearly had a deadline and other people aren't getting motion sickness.
Also I'm not a Sony fanboy and I don't even know why you'd think that. Skyrim VR will be better on Vive when it gets there but it isn't there yet. Oculus and Cardboard are good too in their own ways. For me personally PSVR hits the sweet spot with games I want and affordability. I can't wait to get a Vive once it's cheaper.
@Janpieterzun: That's a little bit of an exaggeration but I get your point. I'm just happy there is an entry level VR headset for those of us who can't afford Vive.
@doodoflife: Most professional review sites don't agree. Most of them gave it at least an 80. Check metacritic if you don't believe me. Also averages for VR games are kind of worthless if one person gives it a bad review due to motion sickness. It's like asking a guy who is prone to motion sickness what he thought of the new rollercoaster at Disneyland. If he hates it just because he got sick on it his review is only worth something to people who get motion sickness. Everyone else can ignore it. Skyrim for Switch isn't going to have bad reviews if it isn't broken in some way. Skyrim VR will have bad reviews if the reviewer gets motion sickness even if the readers won't.
But dude, I get it. You hate PSVR and there's no amount of facts or numbers anyone can show that would change your mind. Your entitled to that opinion but I, and most professional review sites, disagree.
PS Here's a comment that was liked nearly 400 times on IGN's lazy 2:37min review of Skyrim VR that's better than IGN's entire video. "I think this review is a bit sheet! It seems like its yet another uniformative review where the reviewer probably completed Skyrim in past and now spend around half hour in VR and said - ok that will do, lets do the review!"
@doodoflife: Your point was that this game was universally panned by everyone except Gamespot which is a blatant lie.
Also a VR game like this is going to be polarizing. For some people this game is a dream come true and for others they feel like the tech isn't there yet. Hence the 78 on Metacritic. Love it or hate it. The Switch version has a higher score on Metacritic because there won't be that one guy who can't get used to motion controls and gives it a bad review.
@Purpledust: Why even have a comment section if we don't comment on things? Most remakes are garbage and Hollywood has been incapable of putting out something original for awhile now. If you want to waste your money on this garbage go right ahead.
I was hoping I'd be able to get the headset for $300 by now which is a fair price considering the amount of content currently available. If Skyrim, Doom, and GT Sport all end up being great I may go ahead and take the plunge. I had a lot of fun playing PSVR at my friend's house.
