@spacecadet25 @RELeon @MattyTheButcher @Deano Lol yeah, Silent Hill being one of the most iconic games in the last 20 years, and the Dark Souls/Demon Souls series being some of the highest rated games in the past 10 years. Yup, just mediocre.......
I am scared to think what you consider GOOD games.
I liked Mass Effect 1 for its larger exploration element and the larger variety of weapons, armor, gadgets, etc. So them bringing the Mako back while stating exploration is a large element of the new game is getting me excited.
@afphero Well, I was mainly referring to Ubisoft games, since that is the company that is under scrutiny for it. There are plenty of games with female leads, Mass Effect being one of the biggest IP's around that allows for an epic female lead. Along with the few you mentioned as well. You also have some of the Resident Evil games that have female leads, Parasite Eve games, Borderlands, L4D 1 and 2, etc etc.
Ubisoft doesn't have female leads OR enemies. The way I see it, if you add one, you should add the other.
Notice how there are no female enemies in Ubisoft games, yet nobody seems to whine about that? So it would be ok to make a female lead killin 100% male enemies? Can you imagine the outcry if there was a game with a male lead that killed 100% female enemies?
If you add a female as a playable character/hero, it would be only fair to add female enemies. That is what this whole argument boils down to, right? Being fair? I am ALL for adding female playable characters, but only if there are female baddies to fight as well. Otherwise I could claim I am offended for the male gendercide.
